Im not sure if it's just me but this week went by fast. Maybe, everything to me is just flying by now!
Babysitting last night, was lots of fun. We watched Happy Feet! Happy Feet just makes me laugh so hard, I that movie! As for the whole dinner thing, I gave them options such as (fish and rice; sandwiches and soup, burgers and mashies, or bean burritos with rice) well Im over here thinking pick the fish and rice! Ha! First they wanted Mcdonald's, yeah my answer was a quick, no. They were like, well mommy takes us their. Well first off my sister always takes them to fast food places because its fast, but it's killing me to see my little four year old niece, know more about Mcdonald's than anything else. I told them it wasn't healthy for you; they replied with yeah we know.
So they ended up having sandwiches with popcorn, and fruit! They loved it and best of all good for their little bodies!
Random thought: On Wednesday night at five in the morning, I guess instead of sleep walking, I was sleep calling. I called my brother's cell phone five times at five in the morning! I know, it was so funny. I didn't know about it until I woke up and he called me asking if everything was okay. I was like, its five in the morning! Why are you calling me, he was laughing, he replied to me and said you are the one calling me. I looked at my call logs sure enough! Haha! It was a wonderful moment!
Oh yesturday when I was working out, I sometimes read magazines to not pay attention to time, well as I was reading I came across this....
"Another reason not to let the numbers creep up on the scale: People who have peeled of pounds need to work harder at maintaining their new weight than those who never gained in the first place. Successful losers ate about 5 percent fewer grams of fat and logged eighr more minutes of vigourous exercise daily. No gain, less pain." Self Magazine
Intresting, but its the truth!
Alrighty, im off! Have a wonderful and relaxing Friday and weekend!!!!

Good Weekend
Hey, Alexia! I'm glad the kids enjoyed the more nutritious food offerings. Happy Feet is such a great film, too!
About the magazine article, I was thinking about that this morning. Someone who is at their goal weight has to work harder to maintain than someone who isn't there yet. Skinny people at the gym have to work much harder than I do to get their heart rate up.
Anyhoo... Have a great weekend - I'll see you Monday!
I don't have neices or nephews yet, and since I'm the oldest child, I hope I won't be an aunt for a long time. Dave (my boyfriend) and I like to watch kids' movies because they're always funny, and they are always something both of us can agree on. In fact, I just bought Flushed Away.
I got this weekend off as a special request. I usually work weekends, too. I work at Albertson's grocery store, and I got to school during the week. My days off are usually Tuesday through Thursday so I can do homework and go to school.
Speaking of heart rates...I had better get on that elipitcal in the basement!
Im glad to hear that you made it through your appt. at the doctors without bursting into laughter. Im sure everything was find - I had to go for an ultrasound and the dr. told me everything was fine but that they would send the result to the dr. Everything checked out fine but left me a little stumped.
Oh the days of babysitting - how I do miss that. I wish I lived close to my family so I could watch my nephew (only 7months). Guess I better just start hoping we either have one of our own just as soon as i get healthy or encourage our friends to.
Hillarious - calling your brother! Im notorious for talking in my sleep but I don't think I have ever phoned anyone yet.
I read that in Self last week too (while I was on the dreadmill I might add!) ! AND I found the $50 Old Navy trenchcoat they featured -- it came yesterday and I love it!! Too cute on babysitting and meal planning -- good for you for being such a great roll model : ) TGIF!
I love Happy Feet too. So cute! I'm glad you were a good influence in the food department for the kids. That's great.
I hope everything went good at the doctor!
Thanks for keeping up with me while I was gone. I missed reading your blogs. The cell coverage (for my broadband card) sucked in Florida! I guess I can deal with that in exchange for the beautiful beaches and weather!
Ooooh, no it's not just you! This week was the fastest week I can remember this whole school year. Why is that??
Is Happy Feet a cute movie or really funny? How do you think adults would like it if they weren't watching it with kids? I'm curious! There's a new computer animated penguin movie coming out in June I think and I really like the sound of it. Something about a surfing penguin, and there was a chicken and they were at a tropical beach. Weird but it seems very funny.
Glad you got the kids to eat something nutritious. It seems to be so hard these days to get kids to eat healthy. Our society had made us these fast paced people and it's rubbing off on our kids. The Obesity stats for children are appalling. I for one will say that it's much easier to stop for fast food when you have a whiny hungry kid in the backseat. After reading your blog, I'm going to try harder at making sure my daughter eats better!! Thanks for putting a thought in my brain!! Have a great weekend.
My week was fast too and I don't even go to school. It just kinda zoomed right on by, and that's unusual for me to feel like a week has gone by fast. Oh well, I'm grateful for it Hope you have a great weekend too!
