Week # 6 on Weight Watchers

So, the weight is not flying off but it's coming off.  So, that's good.  On Saturday I weighed in at 180.6 lbs.  It's crazy for me to think that in as little as a week I could be in the 170s!  I haven't been in the 170s since probably the end of high school.  Crazy!

Weigh-in, challenges, etc...

I couldn't weigh in on Friday cuz I couldn't make it to a weigh in (kid was sick and demanded my attention, not Dad's -- go figure).  So Saturday I went and weighed-in and oh, no change, basically.  I weighed-in at 184.6 lbs.  So, down .2?  Yeah, no change basically!  Hopefully next weeks weigh-in will be better.

I did the food challenge as well!  The changes I made to recipe is that it used to call for 1/4 cup of shortening and I exchanged 1/4 cup of unsweetened apple sauce.  It called for 1/4 cup of butter or margarine and I exchanged lower calorie margarine for that.  It also called for 1 cup of flour and I exchanged 1 cup of whole wheat flour.  Here's the recipe:

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup low cal margarine.
1/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce
1.5 cups of rolled oats
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg

Instructions:
Heat oven to 375.  Mix all ingredients except oats, flour and chocolate chips.  Stir in oats, flour, and chocolate chips.  Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.  It makes about 30 cookies and each one is approx 84 calories or 2 points each.  Enjoy!

Finally, I didn't complete the Workout Wednesday this week, although, it certainly looks like a good routine!  Hopefully next week is a better week!

15 Week Challenge - Day 1

Today was not the best start out of the gate due to various circumstances.  However, I'm pressing on and will start anew tomorrow.  I've just gotta stay positive!

Also, I made a practice batch of cookies for my Weekly Challenge this week.  So far they're down to 77 calories.  Can I get it down any more than that?

Going to sleep now...exhausted.  I think I need to remember to take my Vitaman B.

15 Week Challenge

This is my first post of this blog which will document my weight loss.  I plan to lose 2 pounds per week and reach my goal of 155 pounds by October 19th, 2009.  I'm going to try spinning, running, cycling and kettle bell work outs.  My eating plan will be Weight Watchers.

I found out about this challenge from TrulyJess who linked to Amy's 15 Week Challenge.

January 2008 I weighed around 208 pounds and from January to March 2009 I managed to shed 20 pounds.  But 10 crept back on.  This January, I decided to start to lose weight again.  I lost 10 of those pounds, bringing me back down to 185 where I have maintaining since about March.  I don't want to keep hovering, I want to lose weight!!  So I'm hoping this challenge will really encourage me to get my butt in gear!

My weekly weigh-in date will be Fridays.  Today's weigh-in was 184.8 lbs.

Here I go!
