My JC Weigh-in Tomorrow

Last week, I maintained...but I had my TOM and JCC said that was normal, actually good to stay the same and not weigh heavier.  So this week the pressure is on to actual see the scale go down.  I have been weighing at home and have been as low as 4 lbs down.

This week my activity level has been good.  I went to Curves 3x and I walked the dog briskly several times.  What I didn't do was go to the Y.

My husband wanted to take me out to dinner tonight (he woke up thinking that it was Mother's Day).  I counted up how many MOMO (meal on my own) I have had this week..5 dinners!  No wonder my freezer is still stocked with JC!  I have been careful, except birthday night (THURS)..but still.

I am hoping to do housework and yardwork today and then walk the dog.  I will be disappointed if I don't weigh-in less this week.  The scale seems to be stuck for me, or fluctuating slightly up or down.  I never want to see 250 again!  PLEASEEEE.....

How can I stay motivated?  If I had just 20 or 40 lbs to lose this would be easy.  100lbs is forever.  Oh well, I can't let it get me down.  At least I know I am getting healthier, even if the scale doesn't reflect that!

You WILL do this!

I felt the same way before my WI yesterday but I ended up doing okay.  Look at how great you have done so far!  When I was feeling a little bummed I went on the JC site and looked at the success stories.  It was really helpful!  :)  Maybe less meals on your own for next week?  I seriously could not do that many and have any control at all.  Awesome for you that you can do it!  Keep up the good work.  Can't wait to hear your WI results!

Be proud of your 11lbs lost!

I'm on a similar weight loss journey. Finding support is the big motivator for me. Finding others with similar stories is comforting, means I'm not the only one struggling. Hearing their successes is even better. Also, I recently found an exercise buddy from exercisefriends.com. Having someone to meet at the gym gets me off my sofa. Good luck.

Motivation

You stay motivated by not focusing on the big picture.  That is too overwhelming when we do that.  Focus on your daily behaviors because that is all that you can control.  Yeah, you'll see results on the scale when you eat on plan and exercise, but you can't control the scale.  You said it....you're getting healthier.  That's what you should focus on.

Do you have the Touchstones to Success set that JC offers?  If not, I strongly recommend it.  Watch the DVD and then listen to the CD.  Listen to the CD often.  It really helps.

You are going to do this and you are in it for the long haul!  I'm proud of what you've accomplished so far and you should be too!

Keep fighting the good fight!

Angela
