Guidelines

Finally got some guidelines to help me with my dietary intake:

I am planning a 1500 calorie intake/day. With that constant in place, things break out as such

  • Total fat: less than 48.75 grams
  • Saturated fat: less than 15 grams
  • Cholesterol: less than 225 mg
  • Sodium: less than 1,800 mg
  • Potassium: 2,625 mg
  • Total Carbs:  225 grams
  • Dietary fiber: 18.25 grams
  • Protein: 37.5 grams

Now I know what I am shooting for with my food log :)

Hi, my name is Angie!

Recently relocated to Dallas Metroplex area with a new job.

I have battled my weight all my life - and the battle rages on now! I've 100 pounds to lose, and my goal is to hit that mark by Dec. 31, 2009. That works out to approximately 6.25 pounds a month.

I have no intention of following a specific diet; I only intend to eat properly and bring my caloric intake down to 1500 calories/day max.

I've been a member of a gym in the past, but it REALLY has to be close to either my work or home. And I need the support of a partner to work out, or I won't go.

I do much better at home and with exercise classes, so that's my plan. I have a very nice elliptical, a ton of DVDs, and I've located a dance studio where I can start back with my belly dancing lessons. I'm looking for local, inexpensive yoga classes to round out my workout regimine.
