Before After

Coffee is brewing!

Just about ready to start my work day; time to grow this business a little more, day by day.

I think I will start the day out with a small bowl of cereal and some fruit.  Quick and easy...

Here is what I did yesterday:

Breakfast: Banana & Yoplait Light yogurt.

Lunch: Crazy Pizza Leftovers (one batch lasts for days)

Dinner: Fillet Mignon cooked to medium on the grill, baked potato, salad with nuts and craisons and cranberry dressing... yum

In-between Snacks: Dill Pickle, few pieces of pineapple, 100 cal snack pack, light crunchy peanut butter on celery.. sounds like a lot but it sure gets you through the day.

I also played a little Red Octane In The Groove (similar to DDR) with my wife.  That sure gets the heart pumping!

The food

It all starts with good food habits, well it's starting that way for me.  My body is sensitive about eating bad foods, I never enjoy how I feel afterwards.

I started my day with a white peach & yoplait light fat free yogurt + coffee w/ splenda and powdered creamer.

For lunch I had a bell pepper stuffed with ground turkey, sliced tomatoes, olives, little cheese, etc.. My body felt so good afterwards.

For dinner we had crazy pizza, it sounds bad but it's quite healthy.  You can learn more by reading my wifes blog within my title.  She spent the time to describe it!

Inbetween meals I had some celery with light crunchy peanutbutter, 100 calorie snack bag, a dill pickle, and a few pieces of sliced and ready to go pineapple.  Those snacks get me through the day.

Anyway, this blog update is mainly so that I can look back and see what I did so it's short and to the point.

I now need to up my activity to make up for the many hours I spend sitting in front of a computer working on my business.

Looking forward to tomorrows fillet mignon dinner, have had it marinating for 2 days now MmmMmm..

Where did I go?

I think I fell into some alternate reality for a year or so.. I just woke up and realized I still have a mission!  I need to get in shape like that running ant in my avatar!  Here we go...

I lost 900 pounds!

Just kidding!  Made you look huh? As you may know by the dates of my previous posts, I have not made great progress.  I let myself fall back into some bad habits.  This happens when I think I don't have to log my points anymore.  I know now that I always have to log my points.  I got a late start towards the May '07 goal.  I have an extended goal now though.  Last weekend I proposed to my girlfriend (akikaze), we have been together going on the third year now.  We both want to get married Nov. 6th of this year so we have a lot of weight loss to work towards.  Let the losing begin!

Activity!

My doctor told me that I need to increase the days and time of exercise.  He said that working out 3 days a week was not enough.  I have upped my routine to 5 days a week, 1 hour each day.  My girlfriend and I are members of Gold's Gym in Redmond which was recently completed.  It's huge!  I like to use the elliptical machine because I found that I burn the most calories on it.  In one hour on the interval setting I can burn 900-1000 calories.  I burned far less when I used to run a couple miles on the treadmill.

8 LBS Down!

My personal weigh in periods will be at the first of every month.  I am off to a good start, losing 8 pounds in less then a month.  July 10th was the start date.

Weight Watchers

I forgot to mention that I am doing WW 30 flex plan.  So far it has been great.  I can eat the foods that I like, only in smaller portions.  A couple years ago I was a hardcore Atkins dieter.   I lost 60-70 lbs on that diet.  The Atkins controversy was huge back then but I didn't care because after reading the book, the concept made sense to me.  Keeping the carb count to a minimal level and allowing the body to burn the fat instead of burning tons of daily carbs sounded brilliant.  Anyway I got off that diet and gained all the weight back so I guess I can't say it worked.. plus Atkins is a very hard diet to make a lifestyle out of.  I prefer to be normal and enjoy a larger variety of foods which is why WW will work for me.  I may even cut this diet up a little bit and stay away from a lot of carbs and sugars even if they fit within the point range.

I'm not doing WW online nor attending meetings.  My girlfriend signed up for the meetings a while back then quit going.  We decided to do it together with all the materials she recieved.  We would rather save that member fee expense for good foods :)

Am I there yet?

I have set quite the goal for my weight loss.  I want to lose 10 pounds a month so that I can get to my ideal size at May '07.  That will be perfect timing to be fit for next summer.  My dream is to swim comfortably.   If I don't make it by May '07 that's ok because I know I will have lost a lot of weight during the first year anyway.
