20lb to go

Well... I have officially smashed back into the overweight barrier!!
I've gained 6lb in the pst month - not down to the baby!!

As of 1st Aug, I am on a mission to get back down to 11 stone (154lb) in time for Christmas.

I've set 1st Nov as my goal date as 3rd Nov is Hubby's birthday & mine is a few weeks after, so it'll be good if I am there by then.

So... 20lb in 3 months - Do-able?!

I hope so!

When I first joined EP way back in 2009, I lost 14lb in my first month, and 7lb in my 2nd month. I would love this to happen again, but am more realistic and aiming for a healthy 2lb a week loss (not counting the weeks AF is here) so 3 months seems about right for that. (13 weeks).

My plan: I am going back to low fat eating.
I am no longer breast feeding (long dull story) so don't need to worry about eating enough for Sam.

It worked for me before and I am hopeful it'll work again.
I am also going to break out the Zumba Kinect game, and hopefully Zumba away the baby bulge!!

The eagle eyed bloggers amongst you may have noticed I'm not trying to get back down to my pre pregnancy weight of 10 stone (140lb). This is because I have seen photos of myself from pre pregnancy which make me look ill - it is easy to see now why people were worried I had an eating disorder.

So I'll be happy with 154lb (which at 5 foot 9 is a BMI of 22.75, so within the normal range.

I am starting on 1st Aug because I am skint & can't stock up on the healthy low fat foods until then. In the meantime, I am going to eat as healthily as possible and will try to start exercising more too. Sam's routine isn't settled yet so it's going to be a bit hit & miss for a while when I can fit it in. I will be getting plenty of walking in of course - pushing him around, but as he is a needy baby who likes lots of cuddles, workout time will be in the evenings when (if) he goes to sleep!!

I hope you're all doing great. I'll catch up on blogs soon xx

i like your plan - very sensible and you have done it before so you will do it again.  i lost my baby weight - twice.  and then put it back on when my baby was about 3.  and she is now nearly 10.  what the?!!!  my pre-baby weight for both of them was 105kg (which i got back to ) which was 20kg overweight but at least it wasn't 40kg overweight which i am now.  sigh.
sockster is doing well in her comeback - and i know you will do.  so now is the time for me to tag along with both of you as you are both people who inspired me when i first came on here and lost 10kg.
so here's to successful comebacks to all of us!!!

also - you goal of 20lb by 1 Nov works for me too as my neices birthday is 5 november and i would like to wear something gorgeous and summery.  starting 1 Aug works for me too so i am going to try and do this with you - and with sockster who is already well on her way.  1 Aug is monday here  and the start of the new school term...  20lb is 9kg for me which is doable if i stick to it.   that would get me to 115.9kg which is 14kg less than when i started on here at 129kg

:)

Sounds like a good plan to me. Just don“t be too hard on yourself and take the days as they come :)
