OMG! OMG!!!

I finally freaking did it... I'm officially under 200 pounds!!!  For the first time in 16 years, I am in the 100's.  197.8 pounds.  Woo Hoo!  Another bonus; I'm no longer considered obese!  I'm now just overweight.  Yay! 

So... I'm doing something kind of crazy. Today I had an interview with a college admissions adviser.  Guess what?  I think I'm going back to college!  I already have a BA degree, but haven't been able to really utilize it.  I'm unhappy with my job and have decided to make a change.  I'm considering becoming a personal trainer!  It's scary and it's going to be a challenge, but I think I will really enjoy it.  Wish me luck! 

Finally!

My weight finally went down this week.  I lost 2.8 this week and that means I am 3.6 pounds from my next mini goal.  Hasta la vista 200's, never to be seen again!  I went up to 800 steps on my stair climber this week.  Also this morning I slept in way later than usual and I had tons of energy so I did 1500 steps on my stepper.  I have no idea where that came from, but it was really cool. I have also stepped up my strength training.  I am now doing 60 reps of each move.  I'm still using my medicine ball too.  I haven't used my pilates bands for a while and I need to.  But I don't feel too bad about it.  Hope everyone else is doing good. same ol same ol

Not much to report this week.  I managed to loose some weight this week. Not as much as I hoped, but every little bit counts.  I'm finding that I do not have enough time in the day to do all the things that I would like.  Even on my days off of work I don't have enough time to get all the exercise in that I should along with everything else.  I guess I'm just feeling kind of stressed right now.  Hopefully, that will get better soon.  Looking forward to spring. Hope everyone is doing well! Bye for now.

WTF?

I guess I'm not too mad because I didn't gain this week.  But come on!  I am soooo close to being out of the 200's!  However, I am very excited because I now fit into a store bought dress, and I haven't been able to do that since I was seven years old!  Even in one of my before pictures (which is of me in a bridesmaid dress), the dress was homemade because we couldn't find anything that would work for me in a store.  So the result was that I looked like I was wearing a mumu.  Yuck!  I also got to buy my first Victoria's Secret bra yesterday!  I've never been able to fit into a bra from there before, so that's cool.  I also bumped up my exercise to 700 steps per day on my stepper this week.  My legs still work!  Hope everyone has a happy Tuesday.

A better week!

I managed to lose the weight that I gained last week and then some!  I'm now down to 207.8 pounds.  So close to being under 200!  I'm participating in the Green with Envy challenge on here and I have 4 weeks left of it to get under 200.  Totally do-able!  I've worked up to 600 steps on my stair stepper this week!  Hopefully I will continue with it!  That's it for now.  I'm going to watch the Biggest Loser on T.V.  Yay! 

out of sorts

This week I feel so out of sorts.  First of all, I knew that my last two weeks of weight loss were to good to be true.  My body is stupid and it plays games with me.  I ended up gaining 2.2 pounds this week.  Hopefully by next week it will go back down.  Plus, this weather is dumb.  Going from cold to hot and back and forth gives me migraines.  I've been working out a lot more so my body feels different, too.  It's tighter in some places and still flabby in others.  Everything hurts!  I guess it's a good hurt, though.  I'm not mad at the pilates bands!    I also got some 2 pound medicine balls that are fun to work out with.  I'm really focusing on toning my muscles so I don't have hanging skin!  Yuck!  I guess that's all for now.  Hope everybody else has a better week!       

Almost a year!

Next week it will have been a year since my start date Feb 11th, 2008.  I can't believe it's been a year!  I lost 3 pounds this week, putting me at -130.4 pounds!  Sunday I bought some pilates bands.  They are really cool and work well.  I think I will need to buy some longer ones for the arm exercises, though.  I've been doing 500 steps on my stair stepper for a week now.  It HURTS!  But hopefully it will make my butt smaller and my legs look sexy!    That's it for now.  Blog again next week!  

An update.

I'm doing great this week.  I've been working out on my mini stair stepper machine and today I got up to 500 steps!    I'm down a total of 127.4 pounds now, putting my weight at 213.4 pounds!  There is an obesity scale that I found online that tells you your level of obesity based on your BMI.  I'm only 14 pounds away from not being obese anymore.  I will then officially be only overweight!    How very exciting.  I also recently discovered that I can fit into a size 12 work pant!!!  I'm still in a 16 in jeans but I will take what I can get!  I'm going to make it my goal to blog on here at least once per week from now on.  I hope everyone else is doing great! 

My story (so far)!

I've been on my weight loss journey for almost 11 months now.  I started at 340 plus pounds and have already lost 122 pounds!  I have been overweight for most of my life and thought that I would always be overweight.  One day, while watching a weight loss T.V. show, I thought to myself that if they could lose weight, so could I.  I realized that I would be turning 30 years old soon and was still single and miserable.  A few months later, I got serious about dieting and started eating a low carb/lower calorie diet.  The weight started coming off consistently every week, and now I only have 78 pounds left to lose before reaching my goal of 140 pounds.  I probably won't reach my goal weight by my 30th birthday, but I'll be pretty damn close and will look pretty damn good (I hope )!  I feel so much better now.  I'm finding that I enjoy the little things in life, like being able to cross my legs like a lady and being able to buckle my seat belt without having the car door open.  I used to dread clothing shopping, but now I can wear normal sizes and shop almost anywhere!  I've gone from a size 28 pants to a size 16 (which are getting baggy).  I plan on reaching my goal by August 11th, 2009- exactly 18 months from my start date.  Wish me luck!
