Nutrisystem or Hen pecking anyone?
My husband is interested in doing nutrisystem. Has anyone did it, doing it, or know someone who is/has? Any input would be great. And if you know anything about hen pecking please continue to read.
I told him he should just do Jenny and at least they would teach him to eat better. Or just listen to me. The Cardiologist basically just told him to lose weight. He got a big I told you so. When the Dr. asked what happened in the past few years we both pointed at each other literally haha . Anyway he's 5'11 and 227 now. He's actually lost a little more than 5 pounds since my last post. But that was because of me constantly nagging him. I'm just afraid I'm going to drive him crazy. Things are pretty bad around here but I CAN NOT cave in and let him have Micky d's or any other CRAP! But thank goodness he's away for business until Thursday(we needed the break). His hotel has a gym and I cut the snacks he took with him in half. Just before he left 'I was like do you really need all those snacks?' I felt bad but I told him he would thank me when he gets back. I'm hoping since he won't be sitting at his desk and eating whenever he wants he will lose a little and there is not the comforts of popcorn and icecream (that are healthy kinds) but he over indulges. Lastly there is someone with him so maybe he won't want to eat as much as he usually does.
We are starting to talk about goals for when he loses weight and when we both get to our goal weight we decided to get a new tv. But that means this week I have to figure out how much the tv we are going to get and how much money we have to put away per pound. I think between the both of us we have about 100lbs to lose and if we get an 800$ tv we would put away 8$ per pound lost.
Okay enough about all that. I need to get my rear end in the shower and get on with my day. Take care everyone
and GO STEELERS!!!
and pray for me to not be such a dang nag to Steve. I just love him and want him healthy but no matter how many times I tell him that it doesn't seem to matter ."It's just me hen pecking him".
Anyone else dealt with this? HELP!!!!!!!!!

NutriSystem
I've done NutriSystem and Jenny Craig. Okay, I can't really say I've done NutriSystem. I ordered a month's worth of food one time. It was not that good. I mean, so not good, that I let it sit in my closet and then realized it had expired. In my opinion...JC is much better. If DH doesn't want to go in for his consultations, he could always do Jenny Direct, but due to shipping, it's more expensive. Just my two cents. I'm sure you'll get conflicting answers. LOL!

I know
I know and understand that you want to help your hubby get healthier and lose weight, but girl, you cannot nag him. You cannot put yourself in the position of food police to him or he will resent it more and more. Just think of how you would feel if he were constantly harranging your efforts.
You've done great and he will need to lean on that in his own time, but he needs to do his own thing, make the trials and errors and learn so he can succeed.
He'll get to the point that he may ask you for your help. Otherwise, just keep doing what you know is right and he'll hopefully follow.

Hey there
Just wanted to say that you are doing great with your weight loss. I always see on my EP page "tanyamami lost 1 lb. or 2 lbs., etc..." You seem to be very consistant.
As far as Nutrisystem I know nothing about it. Each time it comes on the screen though, I think "what good would it do you to lose the weight, all the while feeding your body that processed crap?" I'm not sure I would be willing to make that trade off. Then again, I don't have a substancial amount of weight to lose, so who am I to say??
I find that when dealing with dh, leading by example is the best way to reach them.

you seem to be doing a great job of that.
Find what REALLY motivates him, and help him find his WHY.
Also...I know you had asked me about BFL for your dh once. Did he give that any more thought? Have you checked out the
TRANSFORMATION site? WOW! I think you / he would really like it. It's BFL with the spiritual journey behind it. REALLY helps you to figure out the WHY behind weight gain, wanting to lose etc. Think you and dh might like it.

Anyway...keep going strong girl. You and dh both deserve to be the healthiest you can be.
