OK, This December 30th will be my 3rd year without my mama, she died at the young age of 64. (Dec 30, 2004)
She had diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol etc...the list goes on, her kidneys failed and she was well over 280 lbs at 5 ft short.
OK, i am now 39...MY Goodness....and at the time of mama's death, i was 200 lbs or more :(
it shocked me ...i truly think i even gave up. Just lived fat for a while.
UNTIL YES....i found out i was prediabetic...and high blood pressure....so, here i sit 177 lbs, i was 200 and i am going to lose until i'm healthier, fitter and happier with how i feel :)
tell me your stories friends :)

Hey, there!
I was sorry to read about your mom, but it's good to see that you're taking control of your weight and life! I, too, had become complacent and downright comfortable (most days) with my fatness. The only times being fat really bothered me was when I saw a picture of myself or when I shopped for clothes... because then I couldn't deny what I had become.
I wish you continued success on your journey. You've done great so far and I know that you'll reach your ultimate goal of feeling better about yourself!
Yes, here's to getting healthy! Amen to that. My dad died a little over a year ago at 64. Pulmonary fibrosis....lung stuff. But he also had diabetes and such. I want to be healthy and feel good! Good luck!
Wow, amazing. Doesn't it suck that our moms died? I'm so sorry about yours. The anniversaries are hard, so are the holidays. You should be able to beat all of those diseases by losing weight. You are worth it!
