Good morning everyone!! Just checking in quickly to see how everyone is doing.
I could get use to this. I should take a vacation from work more often.
So, yesterday I did 'up it a notch' on the workouts. I earned 9 AP's and I slept like a rock. I did:
Cardio Sculpt - an oldie but still a goodie! A good 55 mins. worth 7 AP's. That link will take you to it.
Treadmill - After a 5 min warm-up I alternated 60 seconds of jogging and then 90 seconds of walking. My end result was great!! I completed the 1 mile in 3 mins and 45 secs less than yesterday and it was interval training. I was sweating like a pig. But, I did it for a bout 30 mins. My initial goal was to beat yesterday's time and then I got my second wind and just stayed on. I only gave myself 2 AP's because I really don't know how many it is worth.
And here in about an hour I will leave to go to Bally's and meet with the trainer. I'm sure I will feel like ASS after because he/she is going to work muscles that have probably not been used in eons.

Hello all! Hope everyone is having a great MLK day - hopefully you guys are off work and able to sit here and 'surf' a bit. Hope everyone is doing fabulous and had a great on-plan weekend.
Anyone do a little bit, just a teeny, tiny bit, of cheating? I did. And it was yumm-o. But,I actually stayed within my points and everything so I don't know if it really counts as cheating. I don't think so. Maybe I didn't cheat?
What's the plan for today? I was going to take my DD ice-skating (at an ice rink - this is Texas - we have no frozen ponds) but she decided she didn't really want to go. So, now what?
Ok, Ok, Ok. I am going to work out. ALRIGHT ALREADY! I'm sure it won't kill me. Yesterday I got my big booty on my treadmill and did some power walking and even jogged a 1/4 mile - WITHOUT STOPPING. It doesn't sound like a big deal to some, but hey, when is the last time you seen a big girl jog an entire lap around the track?Without hyperventilating, no doubt?
And tomorrow - I meet at 11:00 a.m. at Bally's to start my free 8 week pass to National Body Challenge. You can still sign up using that link and you will now get a 2 week pass. (They had a time frame to get the 8 weeks) The great news is - you even get a trainer included!! I didn't know that part until one of my lovely EP friends let me in on that. I was just going so I could use the gym!!
Over the next couple of days I am going to step it up a notch and do some serious working out - I am going to see if it will make a difference at my weigh-in: i.e.: BIGGEST LOSER STYLE. Remember, weigh in day is Wednesday so that gives me 3 days of upping it a couple of notches.
Now, the question for the day is this:Should I eat those AP's I will be earning OR should I not and see what happens?Maybe I will lose more if I don't. Maybe eat 1/2? so my body doesn't rebel against me and jinx me?
I survived week 2 weigh-in. This Wednesday meeting is getting awfully full. I thought a lot of people went to church on Wednesday. With myself being the exception, of course.

How much does pee weigh? Should I weigh a cup, then pee in it? Obviously, use a cup I am willing to part with. Ok, ok, I can wait until next week and hopefully I will not have a full bladder. But the line was sssooooo long. (AND - I had to do #2. AND I AM NOT WEIGHING THAT!!)
So, this a.m. I didBiggest Loser Dvd. Not too shabby. It's a pretty good workout. That will take you to a link where you can preview the video. I rented it from Netflix to preview to see if it is something I would like on a regular basis.
In addition, I cleaned my house like a mad, crazy woman, did laundry, vacuumed, the whole nine yards. I had to get some kind of AP's for that. I will give myself 1. That way it's not too many and at least it is something.
And has anyone tried those stinking WW Peanut Butter Bliss bars yet? OMG!! 1 point. Yes, $7.50 is kind of high for 12 bars. BUT I peanut butter and cannot eat a tablespoon of peanut butter for 1 blasted point so I bought those damn things. Hopefully I don't sit around and eat the whole box in one sitting. I left them in the car so if I truly want them, I have to get up and go outside to get the blasted things.
It's that time. It seems so quick. It seems like I just went and it's already here again. Yes, tomorrow is WEIGH-IN!!!
I have a plan, I think. I've been watching her. Very closely. I know her game. "This is not my first rodeo!!!" I want to scream it out loud so she can hear me. But I don't want her to know my secret - that I am ON TO HER.
Here it is:
Each person that walks up to the scale, fills out their name and # and then steps up on the scale. I watch her face. If she tries to act like nothing is different - THEY ACTUALLY LOST. If she smiles just a little - almost compassionate-like THEY GAINED.
Hmf. Oh yes - I know. So when I step up there tomorrow I will be looking for the indifference. I don't know why I MUST know before she actually says it, it's only a second later - I JUST NEED TO KNOW.
So I will get there, run to the restroom and get every little ounce out of me because I have drank all my water, come back and get on that scale.

This morning I get up and actually have time to do THINGS!! My schedule was changed at work so on Monday's I now go in at noon instead of 8:30 a.m. I thought I would hate it because now I get off later - but it takes me an hour to drive to work in the a.m. traffic and I have time to get some stuff done.
So, this a.m., I got myTotal Body Toner DVD done and I feel FANTABULOUS! (check out the link and give it a try!) AND
I had a great, filling breakfast worth 6 points (instead of the Cliff 5 point bar I normally eat on the way to work).I have to say - I also got 3 veggie servings and my healthy oil in with this breakfast. Yummy!!
1/2 my water in for the day already!
Random thought for the day:
Why do people have some cinnamon-scented room spray in the restroom? Or, at work, we have a chocolate cookie dough scented candle that is actually burning? Aaaaaccccckkkkk - disgusting. Now it smells like chocolate covered poop or cinnamon poop. Just the basic Lysol or Lysol-infused will suffice.
I think I just threw up a little bit in my mouth thinking about it.

Yes, that is exactly what I meant by it. Just plain and simple poop. And if you want to know what I am talking about - take an Alli pill. If you have taken an Alli pill, you already know what the heck I am talking about. Mind you, I only took 1 once a day for 3 days and this is my end result. (pun intended)
'Nuff said. I don't think I will be taking anymore of those suckers though.
So eating today was pretty good. I did have 2 slices of pizza BUT - I ate nothing but fruits and veggies today and saved my points and had 2 slices for a total of 12 points worth. I did use 1.5 of my Flex points, though, but I can definitely live with that.
BUT - you know what I felt my greatest victory today was?
"What?" - you ask. Today was basically a rotten day. Just horrible b.s. and I went to reach for some M&M's - What truly made me feel great - everyone in the breakroom said, "NO!!!" Not in a hurtful way - they all know I just started WW and they are being supportive. They were all scattered around and I didn't even think they were paying attention to me. I love stuff like that. I have never had anyone truly support me in something.
Then, this p.m. when I was eating the pizza.I was reaching for a 3rd slice - I just stood up from the table and literally said out loud, "I am done. I am satisfied. I need NO MORE!!!" My DH looked at me like I was a loon. My DD just started laughing and asked, "who is she talking to?"
DUH - telling my brain AND my belly "You don't need the stinking stuff!!"
So obviously, I have started to realize I am an emotional eater. I tend to eat when I am depressed/upset BUT i can control it. I can control when to quit eating. It is not something out of my hands - it belongs to me.
One of my favorite things. I am no Oprah, but I have a few favorite things. Tonight I used Orange Ginger. My skin was sooooo dry the last couple of weeks and I used this twice this week and NO MORE DRY SKIN. Good stuff.
I bought this little gadget. I can't wait to get it. I have the Points calculator but when I am out and about, I can just put in my points and it will keep track of them for a week!! Does anyone else have one of these? I can not wait to get it!! And yes, I bought it off of eBay. I can't seem to find one anywhere else. And I just hate always having to write my numbers down and I am not always near a computer - with meetings throughout the day. Whoo-hoo. I love technology.

Ok - now about the Biggest Loser. I really did not want the Brown team to go home. That is one passionate couple. I was sitting there sobbing like a big baby.

Hello all. Hope you had a splendid Tuesday. Nothing out of the ordinary for me. Which is good. Chaos usually ensues. (sp?)
Had a question about the omelet recipe I made last night. Here goes:
2 egg whites
1 egg
1 cup total of the following: broccoli, red bell pepper, mushroom, tomato (put in as much as you like of them - i don't really like tomatoes so I used a baby tomato - just make it all equal 1 cup total)
tablespoon or so of cilantro
salt and pepper to taste
Put vegetables in skillet to slightly brown/soften. In separate bowl, 'scramble' egg whites and egg then add to skillet with vegetables. I add cilantro at this point. (LOVE cilantro). Make your omelet.
Tonight I made a FABULOUS Egg Drop Soup. (not trying to brag here, but it hit the spot) 1 1/4 cups equals 2 points!!! Yowza!! Can't beat it!! And it is completely filling. Then I ate my Smart One's Pasta Primavera - the one with the bowtie pasta and little baby broccoli's in it. (5 points) Not a bad meal. Kids and DH were not here and I really hate cooking a full meal for one.
I have weigh-in tomorrow night. ARGH. I have ate within my points each and every single day - no cheating. At all. I feel triumphant!HOWEVER, if I get on the damned hostage-holding scale and the little wench at Weight Watcher's puts that sticker on there and I don't show a loss - I am bound to reach across that counter with my knuckle-dragging-monkey-arms and punch her in her face.
Yes, folks, I just actually typed that. It's from a loss of ice cream and cheeto's and ranch dressing. (Not at the same time, mind you)
Quick question, I am sure I can just ask it tomorrow night but I am new and I don't want people staring at me when I ask - Should I be eating the Flex Points? I know they are there if I want them but is it mandatory to show a weight loss? I ate a couple of them yesterday but I get 30 points a day and it gets a little tiresome to try and eat all those. (I guess I could eat the ice cream and cheeto's and ranch dressing, eh?)

I love, love, love Turbo Jam. That's the link to the Beachbody website so you can see cost - cheaper than a gym membership and no one is watching!! It goes by pretty quick, gets the heart rate up, and burns some calories. You guys should definitely look into it.
So tonight I made an omelet for dinner. Wow! That is pretty low-point and filling!! I used the recipe builder at WW.com and that thing is a lifesaver. Stuck in some veggies to get the rest of those in as well. The good news is: I don't like cheese. I like string cheese, but that's about it. Probably one of the only fattening things I don't like.
On plan for the day - I have 4 points left.
Anyone else have a favorite at-home workout? I also like The Firm and need to get doing the new one's. The doctor just released me to start working out again so I need to baby-step it. Maybe I will alternate TJ/Firm/TJ/Firm, etc.
You know what I can't get used to? RAISINS!! Something about those dead grapes going into my mouth. Just tiny, shriveled up grapes with no life left in them. I think about the few that get left in my crisper drawer in the refrigerator. That just sit in there, all alone in the dark. Would I pick it up and stick it in my mouth? aaaccckkkkk - NO! So why in the world would I buy a mutilated grape and try to eat it? Not happening.

So today was a great 'figuring points' day. We decided to go out to eat for dinner. Uh-oh. Not really. I sat down and decided what I was going to eat and figured the points before we ever left the house. And I ordered just that and I still have 10 points left and it is about 9:30 p.m.!! This is huge for me. I made it at a restaurant and planned every single thing. All the way down to the unsweetened tea (little lemon and Splenda) I will probably drink some milk (get my dairy in for certain) and some other little nutritous thing.

So I went to SuperTarget this p.m. and stocked up on my nutritious foods and what-not. Kind of exciting. Few exceptions, of course, that aren't so exciting. Of course I like cauliflower and broccoli - with a mountain of Ranch dressing!! But, I will make it work and season it to where it will still go down.
Anyone else going to do the Biggest Loser Million pound match-up? I think one of my co-workers is going to join up with me and do this. Ought to be pretty fun - let's see if we are still friends after it is all said and done.

Here is a great recipe worth 5 points. I tried it a couple of nights ago and it was aboslutely fabulous. Great alternative to the higher-point version. If you can't see it or get to it, let me know and I will post it on here.
