Fried Okra = stomach pangs

Yes, this is part two of the stomach pang saga. Tummy got all better and then I had to go and put some fried okra in my mouth. WHY??

Dear stomach,

I don't know what makes me stick some of these things in my mouth and let it get all the way to you. I really don't know. It just smells sooooo goooooood and it seems like I can't control myself. I haven't ate these foods in so long and obviously, you haven't missed them very much because you can't wait to get them out of your domain. I don't believe it was even absorbed and broken down properly....you just kicked it right to the bowels and I have spent the remainder of my evening ON.THE.TOILET.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaacccccccccccccccccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkk!

For the love of tiny baby Jesus, please make my stomach feel better!!

Okay. enough of that already

Skinny latte = stomach pangs

What's up everyone?? Hope you guys are all doing well and staying out of trouble the best you can.

Not a lot going on here. Just attempting to get things done!! Today was my daughter's last day of school!! Hard to believe she is 13 and she will be in the 8th grade next year. Where does the time go??

This week has been packed full of....stuff. Wednesday met with txlass, we had some S'bux (skinny latte's, of course!!).  I am still trying to figure out if this was what had me going to the restroom for the next couple of days.  Yikes!!!  We chatted for a few, and then went to the Farmer's Market that is right down the street!! It is fabulous!! The prices were much more friendlier than what I am finding in the grocery stores right now. Whoever heard of paying $2.99 per lb. for squash?? Well, I paid $3.00 per basket. And it was yumm-o!! And I even purchased stuff I have never ate. Nectarines. And they are an extremely tasty fruit that I adore. I am attempting to add new foods to my diet. I did buy some avocado's. I just have no idea of really how to prepare them and make them in to something I like. Besides super-fat guacomole. - If you have something you like, please feel free to share, I love new recipes!!

Have a great on-plan weekend and stay out of trouble!!

I am Lance Armstrong!!

Hope everyone is doing well this Friday evening. Not a lot going on here. Getting ready to settle in and watch a movie.

Ok, so I am not really Lance Armstrong. I guess that wouldn't take you long to figure that out. But, let me tell you why I feel like Lance Armstrong:

Wednesday I had to drop my car off at the dealership. Mind you, my car is only 1 year old and I absolutely HATE car problems. It was making a funny noise, blah, blah, blah. I was kind of bummed, but at least it was my day off and I wasn't going to be too inconvenienced.

Well, I didn't want to be inconvenienced at all. I am on a weight loss journey, by gosh, and time is fat in my situation. So, I dropped the back seats down and put my bicycle in there. I get to the dealership and he says, "we can give you a courtesy car and give you a call when it is ready." I'm thinking: No thanks. This is my workout time so I am prepared to workout.

Yes, folks. I got my tushy on that bicycle and did my errands while my car was there. I have an odometer on there and by the time I was through, I had pedaled 27.6 miles. That is absolutely insane.

I can honestly say that I am in "in-shape chubby chick." All those classes at the gym has paid off. My legs are not even sore. My endurance is there. I felt TRIUMPHANT!!

BUT, or might I say B-U-T-T.  My bottom is completely sore. The tailbone part. yikes. Not too terribly bad, but you can definitely tell that I haven't been on a bike in a while.

I would have never guessed a couple of months ago I would have pedaled 27.6 miles on a bicycle. Ever.

Hope you guys have a great, on-plan weekend!!

Life in the fast lane

That is my favorite lane to be in. The one on the left - the fast one. And I do hate it when "slower traffic does not keep right!!" Not that I am notoriously a fast driver (just sometimes) - it is just irritating when people do not even drive the speed limit when they are in the left lane. Everyone just has to keep driving around them and pass them in the right (slower lane).

Anywho...I didn't expect to type all of that.....

This week has been uber-busy so I haven't had time to post on my own blog. But, I have been taking the time to post on others with my commitment of at least 5 per day.  I have been getting out and trying to sell this Avon for these girls!! It have thorugh June 30 to sell so hopefully all will go well.

So, here is the website again if you can and want to help out.Remember to use code "REPFS" to get free shipping!! No financial information shared with me.

Eating has been well. Workouts have been so-so. Could be better, but not terribly bad. Last night I almost completed my CATHE collection of DVD's - I ordered them online and can not wait to get them. There is only one more of her DVD's that I would like to have. It's a little pricey so I am going to make that one of my rewards for when I hit one of my goals. It's her 4 Day Split.

Today consists of mowing this terribly big yard of mine, getting my flowers planted and cleaning this messy house (what I consider to be messy) and doing more laundry than I care to and then dinner.

So, be well, take care, and stay on plan, whatever that may be for you!!

My EP-iphany

Like how I did that EP - iphany? (get it?)

Not too bad today.

Eating was pretty good. I did have cereal for breakfast which is not the norm, but at least it was Corn Chex and didn't have sugar. Lunch was Turkey and Swiss and dinner was fish. Will have my after 8 p.m. antioxidant fruit smoothie in a bit.

Exercise - mowed the lawn and took both dogs for a walk at the same time.

Here is my epiphany (part 1) for the day: I try to make it a habit to make comments on at least 5 EP blogs per day (sometimes more). Just to show encouragement. Nothing else.

So, if I am doing it for "nothing else"....why does it bother me that the favor is not returned? (I must be in denial) Is everyone on here looking for support but not ready to give it??!!

My EP-iphany part of this is this: Am i blogging on here for me or for everyone else to comment on my blog? Well, I thought it was for myself!! But if it bothers me somewhat, maybe I just need to put on my big-girl panties!! Now that I have put it in perspective for myself...

Sure, I'm not exactly a barrel of laughs....

Just sayin'.....

Plan of Success

Hope everyone is doing well. Not too bad here.

Don't know about the rest of my Texan friends, but we had serious storms yesterday. I turn on the news and it says, "For those of you who live in Anna, your sirens are going off and you need to take these pretty serious." You think?? Good Lord, we had HAIL the size of golfballs!! A couple of random-sized one's were the size of tennis balls!!! It's great that I have a garage - but it is TERRIBLE that I do not get to park in it. We have a boat and it sits in there which would still leave me plenty of room, but my hubby is dirty and will not clean up all of his shit. So, did I get to park in my garage? NO!!! (vent is over)

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaacccccccccccccccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!!!

On to better things.

For dinner I made somewhat of a Chicken Alfredo. Reduced-calorie-taebo.diva-style. And it was absolutely yummy. Not even trying to toot my own horn. I normally avoid every bit of that stuff because I can hear my arteries screaming when I look at the stuff (and for some reason it does make me go to the restroom) But, this had no cheese in it whatsoever.

So, if you are interested, here is the recipe:

  • 1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast
  • 1 10 oz can cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup (98% fat free)
  • 1 cup of mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 1 cup reduced fat/calorie sour cream
  • cooked whole grain, no yolk egg noodles (you can find them easily!! Wal-Mart or Target keeps them stocked)

I cooked mine in a crockpot. Sprayed the bottom with non-stick cooking spray. Sliced the chicken breasts into thirds and laid on the bottom. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Pour the can of soup and water on top, mix well. Cook on high for 2-3 hours or low 4-5 hours. In the last 30 minutes, add the sour cream. Serve with noodles. I used 1 cup serving of the Alfredo and 3/4 cup of the noodles and it was 7 points (for you WW's) I had salad and broccoli with it. Not bad points-wise.

Yesterday I met a friend for lunch. I was quite proud of myself. You know, so many times I set myself up to fail when I go out to eat. I get there hungry and order big. I am over those days!! I went online and looked at the menu first and decided what I was going to order and had the points figured out before I ever got there. When I sat down, the waiter handed me a menu and I took it and set it aside. (Just avoided the temptation all together) When he came back to take our order, of course I was ready to order. I had a plan and I was sticking to it!! (Never mind the fact that when we were leaving I fell down and busted my ass for all of the world to see outside.)

If I plan to succeed, I will. If I don't plan, I will fail. I need to be more consistent with my planning so that I can continually succeed.

Do you feel me?

Hello everyone. Hope everyone is having a fantabulous Monday. Not too bad here. Just some rain outside so now I don't get my bicycle ride in. I've been loving that lately since it has been beautiful outside.

Big thanks to Juli66021 for placing and Avon order. And she doesn't even live in the same state as I do and she is helping these girls!! Your thoughtfulness (is that a word) is wonderful....so take a stroll over to her blog and get those 'visits' up there!!

I know some you know that I do quite a bit of "Clean Eating" and stick within points for WW's, but if you are interested in a preview of the Clean Eating magazine, just follow that link. It's a great magazine. I feel so much better when I don't eat all of the processed foods.

What's going on in your life? Ups or downs? I'll be sure to stop by and visit...

Much love,

Sunday and Avon

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday, so far.

Not much going on around here except for a bicycle ride, help moving for some friends and maybe a movie.

Big thanks to kimquilts55 for placing an order for Avon and helping those young ladies get to camp this year!! (Please read blog entry below - I am sponsoring - with everyone else's help assistance - 2 girls going to camp this year and have found a sponsor that will 'match' everything I donate!!) Girl, you are basically Wonderwoman!!

Stop by txlass and kimquilts55 blog and wish them luck on their marathon today!! You guys ROCK!!

And - please do not forget to take a look at my Avon website. You can order everything from the convenience of your home, share no financial information with myself or anyone else (you can even pay through PayPal) and you are getting great stuff and supporting two great young ladies - although they do not know it yet! NO money comes to me whatsoever!! Any and all profits will support them, even if it is just $10. You can enter "REPFS" and get FREE shipping!!

I love the new mineral make-up. I have been wearing Bare Escentuals for years. The Avon mineral make-up is currently $7.99. Well, that saves me $17 and it is just as fabulous.

In my mind

Here's a good song for you guys to listen to while you are reading...(since I haven't invested in the Gold version I will just put a youtube video in here for your listening pleasure....)  We interrupt this program to tell you..."youtube service is not working on EP - could someone please fix this shit??!!"Maybe this link will work and you can just play it in a different window...just click it and it should just start playing....

Today wasn't too bad. It was my day off (only one this week) and I woke up, ate a good breakfast, mowed the lawn, got my nose all runny and boogery with the grass flying everywhere and getting my allergies over-excited, went to work (just for a few minutes!!) met with Txlass and cut her hair. She is such a great woman~beautiful person. By the way, big thanks to her for placing an Avon order and supporting those young ladies (see blog entry below). Girl, YOU ROCK!!

Got my meals planned for the next few days and hopefully I will not get distracted by anything.

Have my weekly weigh-in tomorrow. I am so excited I just can't stand it (Can you just see the sarcasm just dripping off of that?) Not really, I haven't been doing bad.  Today I have on a pair of jeans I haven't had on in a couple of years so that is something. I seen them hanging in my closet and just thought I would try them on. YEA ME!! And yes, I have several pieces of clothing that are hanging in my closet that have been too small for the last few years. Just hanging on for dear life and definitely no longer in style. I should just part with them, but by gosh...I just want to put them on one more time!!!

So, anyways, that was it for me today.

My thighs are still rubbing together, but they are definitely looking better!!

Take care and be well!!

throw-back Thursday

Today wasn't too bad. Had weigh-in and was -2.4 lbs.  woo-hoo!!

After that, had meeting for fundraiser, of sorts. So, here's the deal: there are a couple of girl's that I have decided to assist them and get them to camp this year. Or, I should say, TRY. The camp is fitness related and teaches them how to eat properly. (basically what some of us older individuals would call a 'fat camp' but they are no longer called this) i.e. serving size, what foods, etc. I should have prefaced all of that with the fact they are classified as "morbidly obese" by the doctor and have high cholesterol. The sad part about all of this - they are both only 11 years old.

So, here's my fundraiser: I have decided to sell AVON to get these girls there. I will donate any and all profits to these girls to get them there. I have found a sponsor that will 'match' what I raise!! yea!! So, I only need to sell $1,000 worth of AVON. (which is actually $500 in profit and the sponsor will match that $500. It costs $500 each)

So....if any of you are in a situation and can help financially support these two young ladies - all will be appreciated. If you are not, then don't. Well wishes will be accepted!!   I completely understand. Here's my website for AVON and you can order directly from there. If you decide to order, please let me know and I can send you an email to get a free shipping code.  Even if it is just an order for $10!! It can be shipped to you directly. Anyone that orders from me, I will put their name in for a drawing and will also be giving away a gift bundle valued at $75.00 and will ship to the winner.

Workout went well today. I decided to mix it up a bit and do Jiggle Free Buns (the FIRM). ouch. ouch. ouch. I was sweating bullets and cussing her out by the time I reached the last 10 minutes. I just didn't think I could get another tall box climb out of my legs.

Have a great evening,

taebo.diva
