I am fat
OK, so I haven't officially been weighed today yet. That joy will take place this evening. But according to the sneaky peek I had on the scales at home this morning, I have gained a few pounds. I'm not happy, but it was to be expected. I have been a bit naughty this week. But f*ck it.
I'm also away for the next two weekends so that doesn't bode well. This weeks plan: be good during the week and as good as I can at the weekends and get this weight (aka the bain of my iife) off!!

Can I get a Woop woop?
2.5lbs down this week!! I'm chuffed as punch, but my consultant wants me to have a gain next week to stick within my target. But I really still want to lose a few pounds before I'm happy.
Anyway, I'm off to SW head office in Derby tomorrow. Sorry this is short and sweet, but must go and get packed. I will update you all on Sunday!!
xx

Nerves
BTW I forgot to say that I got Slimmer of the Week this week!
Anyway, I'm off to Derby on Friday to do days 1 and 2 of my SW training. I'm getting quite nervous about it. It's suddenly hit me as to how much work its going to be, and I'm wondering if I'll be OK. I'm sure I will be, and I'm sure after my training I'll be all excited and up for it. I just need this week to go by quickly so that it'll all start to make a bit more sense.
Food wise, we have been doing quite well. We went to a 50th birthday party last night, and we ate before we left home so as not to be tempted by nibbles there. We had been good on syns all day, so we had a piece of cake while we were there and that's it.
Today has been a red day. So I had porridge for breakfast, then for lunch it was bacon, low fat sausages, homemade burgers and scrambled eggs. For tea, I did, chicken and veg and potato wedges. All in all, not too bad!
Hubby's blog is up and running now, so go offer him some EP love!!

Getting There
Another pound down on WI last night. I'm quite pleased. I was expecting a gain or a maintain. I think the thing with the last few weeks is that there hasn't really been any routine. Now I'm back at work though, so I'm hoping we'll be able to get on plan properly again.
We're going to try and come up with our own "7day plan" so we know what we're eating every day, rather than leaving it until we're hungry and then trying to think, realising we haven't got the ingredients and ending up eating out or with a takeaway.
You'll notice I've changed my target from 8st 10lbs to 8st 9lbs. This is just a bit of an OCD thing, as if I go to 8st 9lbs, I've lost exactly 3 stone. If I go to 8st 10lbs, then its 2st 13lbs and that would drive me insane!
Anyway, I've told hubby that he should get an EP account and build up a support network and that might motivate him a bit. So he has set up his account, but hasn't blogged yet. When he does, go and motivate him. You can find him

I'm So Excited
I went to my Slimming World Pre Training evening tonight. It was really good. I've been given some bits and bobs. It's all exciting! My first night in group is April 1st. It's not going to be easy. The 5 prong attack is gonna be hard. 2000 leaflets, 50 posters, an advert in the paper, a story in the paper and the word of mouth. The leaflets are going to be the hardest thing.
I'm away for my Day 1 and 2 training on 29th Feb and 1st March, then days 3 and 4 on 4th and 5th April.
In other news, I'm due back in work on Thursday, and I'm bricking it because I really hurt my knee yesterday at my mum's house and today I am back on my crutch and my knee resembles a balloon, but I simply can't afford to take any more time off. Especially since our new purchase this weekend.
So, I know I was a bit cryptic. I wanted to see how long you could wait before I told you. It's not even that exciting. We got a new car. It's a VW Passat Estate, 2litre Sports Edition. It's about 8 months old with less than 10k on the clock. We pick it up on Friday providing the loan money comes through in time. I haven't test driven it yet because of my knee, but I trust hubby's judgement.
Not a very weight related post I know, just wanted to keep you all updated!! x

we only went to have a look
We weren't going to buy today. But we should learn that when we go to look, we always buy. But it was a good deal. Even though it was our maxium budget. It just ticked all the right boxes, and we both loved it, even though neither of us were that keen on the idea.
It's done now
We pick it up Friday

Did the plan work?
Yes it did! 2.5lbs off for me tonight, 3.5 for hubby! I'm chuffed to bits. So that means that I have reached my SW target. But i didn't get chance to talk to my consultant today, (a) I wasn't expecting to get it tonight, and (b) we didn't stay for group as we were going out for Valentine's dinner.
Some people ask me why I'm going to all this trouble of losing weight when we are planning on trying for a family later on this year and I'll just put it all back on again. But I've lost 2 stone, and they reckon that I'll put on two stone during the pregnancy. So if I WAS still 11st9lbs and I put on two stone, then that would mean I'd be four stone overweight. This way, I have less to lose after it's all over.
We had a lovely dinner out tonight. We went out to the place where we went for our first drink together. How romantic. lol
I hope you have all had a lovely Valentine's day! x

7 day plan
So today, hubby and I are starting a 7 day plan to try and shift some pounds. In every issue of the SW magazine, they have a 7 day plan with menus and recipes and even a shopping list for you. The idea is that all of the meals are made of “free foods” and “healthy extras” so there are no “syns” in them, so you can choose your own treats. We thought this may give us a bit more of a kick start as hubby has gained a few pounds this last few weeks and he’s feeling really disheartened.
So today’s menu looks like this:
Breakfast
- 2 weetabix (I may substitute this for porridge as I find it really hard to have weetabix with skimmed milk)
Snack
- 3 Mini Babybel Light Cheeses with Chunks of Apple
Lunch
- 142g grilled place and poached eggs served with new potatoes and peas
Snack
- Fresh pineapple chunks with very low fat natral yoghurt (I’m allergic to pineapple, so I will have some other kind of fruit)
Dinner
Yummy! Everything on there seems really nice! And if everything is free, that may mean there’s some syns left over for pudding!

Going back to my dilemma about my target weight, I found something quite interesting in the SW magazine. I’m 5ft 1in and the target my consultant set me is 9st 7lbs. I’m 2.5lbs away from that, and I know when I reach it, I won’t be happy, which is why I wanted to change it to 9st. The maximum weight for my height I should be is 9st 2lbs, so to me, wanting to get down to 9st isn’t that big a deal.
In the magazine, there was a story about a woman who is 5ft 2in and has got down to 8st 10lbs. So she is taller than me and weighs less. So, what I want to know is why my consultant is trying to talk me out of getting down to 9?? Ultimately, it’s up to me, and when I start my own group, I won’t have my own consultant, so I can choose for myself. Hell, I might even choose to get down to 8st 10lbs. Who knows?
All I know is that it’s my choice.

Well......
....if the scales are right, I should be on for a loss tonight. Not getting my hopes up though.
I've had my stitches out today, and I've been signed off for another two weeks. Harryjsmummy has been helping me aleviate my boredom and has been my online buddy for the last week or so, which has been good fun!
My new SW boss has come round for coffee today. We have discussed my group and I've decided that for now I am just going to run one group a week on a Tuesday night. I actually went to see this group this Tuesday. It was quite disappointing because nobody stayed to group. They all just weighed and left. I think the morale of the group is at a low because they haven't had a permanent person looking after it for such a long time, they've just had relief people. But hopefully I'll be able to change all that. My boss is actually going to be looking after that group for a few weeks before I'm able to take it over, so hopefully, she'll get things moving in the right direction!
Anyway, I will update on WI later
******UPDATE******
I'm one pound down, so I'm half a pound away from two stone. I spoke to my consultant to tell her I wanted to change my target from 9st7lbs to 9st, and she says to lose the 2.5 to get me to 9st7 and then decide!!
