Week 12
Another slow week. Didn't reach my weekly goal of five pounds. Lost only 1.2 pounds this week. Seems to be going really slow, but I have never had a week where I have gained weight or stayed the same. Always moving down.
This week won't be a big loss week as it is Thanksgiving this weekend in Canada. Try my best not to pig out on all the good food and deserts. If I can make it out of this week without gaining that will be a huge accomplishment.
Running is going well. I have a 5km fun race booked for December 2 so it gives me a goal to shoot for.

Week 11
Another week in the books. Lost another 2.2 pounds this week and a total of 6 inches in the last month and a half. Weight is coming off steadily which is positive. Have been following the diet fairly closely, although there was a few party's this week that made it difficult to stick to it. Especially when the B-day cake comes out. It's all good though because at least the scale is going in the right direction.
I think what is helping the scale go in the right direction is that I have started a running schedule. I am doing some interval training to help build my cardio back up. It's going good and I want to run a 5km race in December with the possibility of doing the half marathon next spring. Running has helped cover up some of the slips I have on the diet. Hopefully I can have some more bigger losses in the next coming weeks. This weeks goal is 5 pounds. We will see how close I can get.

Week 10
Another decent week. I am down 2 pounds for the week.
. I am back at work this week so its easier to stay on a schedule; however, more temptation to fo out for lunch with people. All about making good choices and I want to do really good this next month. Next weigh-in we are doing my measurements so I will see how many inches I have lost.
Getting a sick of the yogurt and seeds on the diet. Try to switch it up so I don't get bored and frustrated. Also started my running program this week. Runninng 3 times a week doing some intervals to bring cardio up which has been challenging the first two runs. Hopefully I see some improvement in the next week.

Week 9
Arrived back from weigh-in and slighlty bettter results this week which is positive. Lost 3 pounds this week
. Had a solid week of sticking to the diet and keeping my water intake up and eating the seeds. Clothes are starting to get more baggy. I put on pair of Kahki pants I haven't worn since the beginning of summer and they are really loose on me. Have to put the belt all the way to the last notch.
Feel good about being down just over 30lbs in 2 months. About 10lbs off my expected pace at this time. Still want to lose another 40lbs and be down to the 200lb mark by Christmas. That leaves me 3 months or 13lbs per month. Still think it's acheivable and I plan in on starting my exercise plan in the next week which should really help. Will keep progress posted on that situation.
My last test is tomorrow morning. HOORAY!!!!
. Thumbs up to that. Feel good about the last two days of test. Don't find out the marks until the end of November so its a bit of a wait. Feel good and confident about passing. It will be nice to be done and worry about other things other than studying.

Week 7 and 8
Wow.....where does the time go. I somehow missed a week in my Blog and I just arrived back from my weigh-in this week.
No stellar results to report these last two weeks. I lost 1 pound in each of the weeks for a total weight loss of 2 pounds in 2 weeks. At least going in the right direction. Last week was a challenge as we went on a camping trip over the long weekend. Tough to stick to the diet on a camping trip especially when there is an ice cream store nearby. I did OK though as I limited myself to one ice cream for the entire weekend. It was GOOD !!!
I am almost finished my study leave for the summer as I write my big exam next week then I am back to work. I tend to like to eat when I am studying because I get bored and its a way to relieve stress for me. I have been doing well so far as when I feel the need to eat I just grab a glass of water.
I need to refocus on the diet though. I will be home for the next while so I can get back into a routine. I am also looking ahead as I will be done studying for a long time. I haven't been able to say that for the last 6 years. So I am going to focus on exercise when I start back at work. I have drafted a schedule to start a running program so that I can do a half marathon by the end of March 2007. Big goal but I am feeling more energetic and confident that I can do this.

Week 6
Taken me a couple days to get to my blog, but nothing to exciting this week too talk about.
I went to the weigh-in on Wednesday afternoon and I was down exactly 1 pound. WOW. What a weighloss, I must have been wearing my lighter shorts that day. A little disappointing as I only had one bad evening. I had two beers and a potatoe at a BBQ I went to on the weekend. If that is the effect a beer as on my weight loss I guess I better try to stay away from those.
Been doing well the last few days on the diet. Hopefully I can get back on track and start losing the 5 pounds a week pace I had set before.
I guess as long as I am still heading in the right direction it's all good. By the way my favourite new supper is a grilled Portobella Musroom on the BBQ with some Balsamic Vinegar and melted low fat cheddar cheese. MMMM Good.

Week 5
Sweet !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just arrived back from my weigh-in and lost another 5.5 pounds this week. I was really able to follow the diet this week and I am starting to notice some changes in my body. Lost some of the love handles and pudgy cheeks. Around 25 pounds lost in 5 weeks. They also took my other measurements today and I have lost about 5.5 inches from ny waist, chest and hips in the last 5 weeks. I am really happy with the progress as I am losing about 5 pounds and an inch a week.
I am on study break this summer so I am on a leave of abscence from work for the summer. I had to stop by the office this morning for the first time in a month and a half and some people at work even noticed I droped some weight. That made me feel good.
I have found I have a lot more energy and I even can't stand eating some of the foods I used to love because it makes me feel sick. My biggest weakness was that I love to drink diet coke/pepsi. Since I have been on the diet I think I have only consummed about 1 can. The other day I tried to drink some at lunch and I could only have about a quarter of it because it made me gag. That is weird when you had something everyday and loved it and now I can't stomach it.
I think this diet is great for me as it is making me eat a lot more whole and healthy foods. I still have a craving once and awhile for a big plate of pasta or some fish and chips, but by seeing the progress so far I really avoid the temptation so that I can reach my goal weight by Christmas. So far I am on target.
Thanks for the encouragement Lynette. I tried sending you a response last week, but it said I was blocked.

Week 4
I am running a little short on time tonight.....so just a quick post. My weigh-in was today and I lost another 5 pounds this week. AWESOME...this diet seems to be working. I have lost approx 20lbs in my first month. Pretty exciting and I am on target with my goal so far of losing 20lbs a month.
Next week we are taking all my measurements so we will see the amount of inches lost.

Week 3
Just arrived back from my weigh-in this evening. I dropped another 3 pounds. I am pretty happy with that since last week I have been on a training course and had to eat cafeteria food all week.
I am back at home for awhile now so I can concentrate on following the plan more closely. I am still on track to lose 15-20 pounds in my first month which has been my overall goal. The 13 pounds lost s far is a good start.
I think the key to this diet for me are the portion sizes, having at least 5 hours between meals, and drinking a lot of water. I would be extremely happy if I can lose 5 pounds this coming week.

Week 2
Just came back from my weigh-in and in my first week and a half I lost 10 pounds !!! Pretty good for being on holidays for a week and was not able to follow the diet perfectly. I did make sure that I ate with 5 hours between meals which I think helps a lot with the metabolism. Losing that much weight and seeing the results is keeping me motivated. I have another hard week to follow the diet as I am on a training course this week. If I can get through this week I will be at home for the next while which makes it easier to follow the diet.
