Before After

Flat butt short

That would be me.  Flat butt short.  I am absolutely happy in my smaller clothes, but I've come to a realization.  Aside from The Tummy That Still Sticks Out, I have a flat butt.  I asked my hubby and he said it was flat before.  What??  I didn't know this.  How could I have not known this?

And I'm short.  This I knew, but I don't remember having such an issue.  My issue is that I have now got 6 pairs of pants that fit perfectly (yay!) ranging from size 8 to 10 (yay again!), except that they are too long!  I can wear two with heels, but I'll have to hem all the others.  I can't wear heels all the time either.  So I've come to a realization that I will have to shop for short sizes.  All those pants I mentioned, I got at the thrift store without trying them on (I'm not about to spend retail till I know I'm going to stay at a size).  I don't think I have a petite frame (you know, rise and hip area?).  I think I just have short legs.  Here's to a future of hemming pants!  I cannot complain about that when they are smaller pants than before!

So, these realizations have led me to make a decision.  Hubby has a gym membership, and I've always avoided it, but I think I'm going to give it a shot and add myself on.  I can't stretch out my legs (can I?) but I can build up my booty and work on The Tummy That Still Sticks Out.  It's starting to get cold in the mornings and I'm finding it hard to get my walk in any other time, so I think that might be a cool weather solution for me, yeah?

You know, that makes for a really odd profile, flat butt, round tummy.  Makes me feel like a Picasso painting!  Lol!

Have a great weekend!

Comments to this post:

clothes are getting tougher.

yea, clothes are getting to be a problem for me as well. I think youre right to shop at thrift stores, and I think that the gym idea is cool too. It will be worth it to you if its too cold in the mornings, I agree.

Thrift store shopping

What an excellent idea!  Oh, would you like to have some of my butt!?

Way to go!

I always shop clearance racks(rarely pay full price). Thrift shops are cool too.

Isn't it nice to fit into smaller clothes :)  !   That's a exclamation not a question!

I have a huge bottom even when I am small.

Congrats on deciding to go to the gym. It's awesome! Walking is great too. But nothing beats a strength training workout. It strengthens the bones and fires up the metabolism.

email? comments? go figure

Heya, thanks for the note. I tried to email in reply but the address was to info@extrapounds.com so I'm guessing it won't go to you. So here it is...I wonder if their comments emailing feature got buggy when they upgraded.

The tri I'm going for is of the very short variety. 400meter swim, 8 mile bike ride, and 2 mile run. I can't run 2 miles but I can alternate walking and running at least every minute for that time. So yeah...I guess I can muddle me way thru each of those.

You get RLS too. Isn't it awful. I can only hope it doesn't get much worse as I get older.

Yay you for going to the gym! I'm sure you'll love the results. But when you get bummed about your bum...just remember the 40 plus pounds you've worked so hard to drop. It's all good!

Hope you had a great weekend!

Flat butted woman!

Hey, maybe we should start our own club....whatcha think???  My butt is as flat as a fritter.   But, hubby never fails to tell me I have a "cute butt".    Going to the gym sounds like a great idea since outside walking can be quite brutal in the winter.

Yea You, for fitting into those smaller sizes.   Keep up the great job.  Blessings to you for strength to overcome.  Chargail

I shall be happy

to donate some of my ass to a needy ass person like yourself.  I am giving that way.

Flat butt or small boobs? Which is worse?

I don't have the flat butt problem, but I am chubby AND have small boobs, which makes buying chubby-girl clothes even harder.  What is it with clothing manufacturers thinking that a big girl has big boobs?  All of my blouses hang funny, because I can't fill them out "up top."  So I don't know which is worse.  I guess you could look at it like this: Fat people don't have flat butts.  At least there's a bright side, right?

Congrats on the smaller sizes!  And thanks for the tip about shopping in thrift stores.  I haven't even thought of it!  My jeans are starting to hang so loosely that they don't look good, even with a belt, so I need to be on the lookout for something smaller (YAY!).  I appreciate the advice.

Sorry I've been away so long...  I've been so busy that I can barely think, much less BLOG!  But I'm back now, and I'm glad that you're doing well.  Take care of YOU!

Have a spectacular day!

HI

So how is it going off of the specific diet meals, and working on your own  eating plans.  I hope you're not avoiding posting for any reason, probably just busy with the fall season.

See you!
