No change
I am happy to report that, in spite of 4 days without workout and 2 days of bad eating, I maintained my weight. I had an extra value meal for lunch Thursday. I think it's an extra value 'cause you get more fat, calories and sodium than anybody really needs! Then I had pizza for dinner that night. We were out of town for the weekend and I ate restaurant food. Not daintily, I should add!
I got back on track Monday. Did my strength training and plan to do that again Wednesday and Friday. I also played 1 hour of ping pong. I am putting it down as aerobics.... I did get warm and a little out of breath so I'm counting it! Low impact. 
Did my short Denise Austin Fat Blast this morning and plan on dancing to my Paula Abdul video tonight.
I'm supposed to be working. Gotta run! I'll check in again later.

WORKING OUT!
i am happy to report I lost 1 pound.
And, yes, Saturday I did dip into the chocolate fountain. In moderation. One bit was particularly irresistable as it was served by a darling 3 year old (grand daughter) who wanted to dip it and feed it to me! I could not disappoint her! Later, I had a glass of wine with DH. Also irresistable!
No work out Sunday. I gave blood at Church and found out that if you're going to work out the same day you give blood, you'd better do it before!
Monday I worked out. It seemed real tiring. I think 'cause of giving blood the day before.
I skipped my morning workout on Tuesday, but did my after work one. Also, DH bought me a ping pong table off of Craig's list. LOVE IT! We all played last night. Good fun. Not a work out, but better than couch time!
When I get more free time I'll try and post a pic of my new do. I can't make it look like the hairstylist did, but still, it's an improvement over before.
I would like to get to the point where I'm doing 300 minutes of aerobices per week plus 3 days of strength training. I was short 90 minutes of aerobics last time but did get in all my strength training. That's why I'm adding the jump roping.
On strengh training days (Tuesday and Thursday and Sunday) during the work week that means I work out twice. Not too hard. I may make the aerobics goal...but it's doubtful. I think I'll only be short about 45 minutes this time. I already missed the Sunday strength training.
I got the 300 minutes of aerobices from Shape magazine article. Sounded easy. It's hard to fit in my schedule, though. I'll keep on tweaking until I get it!

Another step toward a better looking me!
I got my hair cut and colored today. It turned out pretty good, I think! I have never colored my hair before, but am pleased with the results.
I'm happy that I've worked out every day this week. YEAH! Thursday was supposed to be a 2 work-out day, but I had to skip my morning workout. It snowed and sleeted and I knew the drive to work was going to be LOOOOOng. It was. It took 2 hours and I had to stop for a potty break on the way. Been working out so much that my legs shook when I tried to squat! OK TMI, I know, but I thought it was humorous all the same.
I have eaten ok. Hope I've done well enough that the scale will say I dropped a pound or two on weigh in day, Tuesday.
For next week I'm going to do the same workout schedule plus 10 minutes of jump rope every night after work.
Tonight is the wedding shower for Beth. Should be fun, but hopefully I will be able to resist over indulging. I understand we're going to have a chocolate fountain. Chocolate is one of my many weaknesses!

So far so good!

Good day so far
Tomorrow is weigh in day. whatever.
Today has been good so far. I did an aerobics work out this morning and have eaten light.
Yesterday I did strength training. I did not eat well. We had dinner at Fuddruckers so I indulged in a chipotle cheeseburger. Some fries. Drank water with it. Had cookies for breakfast! Kind of a half hearted attempt. Better than no attempt!!!
I have set myself a short-term goal. I'd like to lose 10 pounds before my step-daughters wedding at the end of May. I want to feel attractive when I get dressed up. I can lose 10 pounds in 6 weeks if I get serious.
So, today I am working hard. One day at a time. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!

Well...hi!
I'm still alive. Been eating too much sugar and laying around like a slug.
Starting again again. Hope to be more consistent!
Put the cover photo from Shape magazine on the big popcorn tin at work. That kept me out of the carmel corn yesterday!
Looking forward to Spring. and my garden.

this and that
Well, today was weigh in. And I lost 2 pounds from last week. HALLELUJAH! What a relief.
The super bowl party went well. I made quail/chucker in a tomato sauce and IT WAS GOOD! I was so happy. Even my daugher ate it. My husband hunts and I want to use the meat, but have had some turn out not as good.
thought the best thing to eat at the party was a dip. It was good! Here's the recipe:
Cream Cheese (low fat, of course), 2 T Tang powder, 2 T orange juice, and some chopped up pecans. Mix it up and serve with...we had Wheat thins.
Some of the blogs are sooooo inspiring! Thank you Thank you Thank you for helping me get on track.
Drinkin' my water. Eating better (still needs improvement!) and working out. Bought myself a step aerobics step today with some gift money I got for my birthday. I have the RIPPED cd of Jari Love and she lies on the step when lifting weights. I've been substiuting couch cushions, but it doesn't work that well!
Today's workout Power 90 Sweat 3/4 and tonight a little Denise Austin.

Did you hear the one...
Looks like I gained a pound last week. I'm disppointed, but not surprised.
I'll hit the grocery store at lunch and pick up some fruit and baby carrots and stuff.
This morning, I heard a lady talking on Joyce Meyer's TV show (WGN) about how we are like gardens. We need to be tended to. I didn't know if she was talking about attitude or about our physical bodies or what, but I liked the idea. Then some guy said we should make it a point to exercise. So....I turned off the TV and went to my basement and did just that! I did my Paula Abdul video again.
My current favorite joke: Two blondes walked into a building....
You'd think one of them would've seen it.

Nice weather this weekend
Got out and walked the dogs both Saturday and Sunday. The dogs ran and played and got a lot more exercise than we did! Still, helped clear the cobwebs from my brain and was fun...
I did my "Ripped " cd on Saturday. I love the title. Wish I were!
Saw my friend at church whose joined a running group. She's done a few 5ks and is now training for a half-marathon. She looks great. I am proud of her!

Feeling good!
Happy Friday!
I worked out last night with my video of Paula Abdul. An oldie but goodie...kinda like me! I am pleased I got my work out in 'cause it would've been easy to skip it and blame cirucmstances. Just as soon as I got started the phone rang. A friend who wanted to talk some. so we did. half hour gone. Now it's gonna be kinda late when I get done and I'll have to shower....Just do it, Woman! so I did.
Worked out more this week than last! Telling myself to be sure and get a workout in every day with FRIDAYS off!
date night tonight (with my husband, of course!) Maybe we'll see The Bucket List. we'll see!
I'm anxious to weigh in on Tuesday. What if I don't lose any weight? I'll be disappointed...try harder, I guess.
I'm trying to eat all the grams of fiber I need every day. and drink my water. That's it. That's my diet. Shooting for 6 little meals with 4 or more grams of fiber. I'm learning what I can eat that fits that ideally. Oatmeal. Apples. Pears, but I don't like those. Can of Veggie soup. Today I tried this Red beans and rice soup by Nile spice. I am pleased to say it was good and it's been over an hour since I ate it and I'm still pleasantly full. Tummy's all warm and happy! 10 grams of fiber...cool! It looked so tiny, but it filled me up. It's cold and snowy and warm was just the thing!
