If we have learned anything from renovating our little cottage completely, it is BE CRYSTAL CLEAR with the contractors. Make sure you talk to them like you are explaining what you want to a three year old. Seriously. Then explain it again. After several "misunderstandings" and contractors thinking they were doing what I had asked (not even close) I realised halfway through that you really had to be a super-obsessive micro-managing monster to make sure you are getting what you want, paid for, and aren't being bamboozled. And check, check and check again the progress every day or week to make sure it is coming along the EXACT way you want it. Don't wait till it is done to tell them something doesn't look or seem right! And STICK TO THE BUDGET. They will try to up the cost at every chance, just stick to your guns and keep an eye on the bottom line.
Also, thanks for the kind comments. And AWESOME about dance classes! Sounds like fun!

So glad you're still on here!
I've been away way too long so it's nice to come back and see some familiar faces still getting down the pounds. Down 19 pounds is wonderful! Congratulations!
