I am so happy to say that I lost 7 lbs on my first week!!! WooHoo!! Maybe, I could've lost a little more if I haven't went off track on Saturday. Yes, on Saturday I went off track. Ugh!! Oh well. Lesson learned. I did noticed something when I went off track... I was extremely tired after eating the 'no' foods. Man, it was horrible. I couldn't keep my eyes open and I actually felt asleep on the couch. Thank goodness my dear husband was home and he watched the kids while I took that nap. I also got sick LOL. Boy, did I got sick!! I guess, my body was getting used to the healthier foods and the no oils/grease, salt, and all that 'comfort' food that it went crazy on me later in the day. No more [I hope!]. On Sunday, I stayed on track and I was 100% POP and 100% with my water.
Today, is the start of Week #2. Hope I do good and stay POP. I decided to make brown rice in the oven. I added curry and I hope it tastes good 'cause it has no salt and no olive oil. I made enough brown rice to last me for a few days.
Since it's my 2nd week, I'm now doing my cardio workout for 60 minutes. Boy, that was hard but I lasted to the end. I walked/jogged for 4 miles!!! Afterwards, I did my sculpting exercises and they also went up in sets but went down in repetitions.
Went to the grocery store today to returned those Mrs Dash Marinades [can't use them]... they don't have salt but they do have oils and sugars which is a no on the program. Bummer!! Now, I have to make my own marinades. There is this marinade with Diet Coke that I want to try. I forgot to check the recipe for the ingredients... that recipe has a lot of thumbs up!!
Today is the first day of my weight loss plan. So far so good. This time, I'm also doing the exercises both cardio and resistance. So, I did 30 minutes of walking/jogging (total of 2 miles). After the cardio, I did resistance.
My water intake is going good. I'm on my 2nd liter of water (total of 3 liters a day or 100 oz of water per day). Going pee like crazy 'tho lol. That water weight I have needs to get out. Haven't had no headaches so that is good. Don't have any cravings for bread nor sweets at this time. Having fresh fish for lunch and dinner.
I also need to keep a Food Journal and write what I eat and the times. I need to eat 5x/day and if I want, I can have a PM snack which is 1/2 cup of a fruit (Fruit A ONLY). I have a custom menu plan and there are certain fruits I can not eat like oranges, watermelons, grapes, mangos, nectarines, cherries, figs, and no dried fruits at all (they have a lot of natural sugars in them). Vegetables... I can eat almost all veggies. No red meat at all... except occasionally and at dinner time. I'm a Body Type B.
So, so far I've ate a Pre-workout breakfast with that extra fruit and extra oats... I made a strawberry shake. I'm about to have my mid morning snack and I'll be making "fried" egg whites and on the side some fresh strawberries. Today, my lunch will consist of fresh fish, rice, and some veggies (I still need to go to the store to get some). My mid afternoon snack... I'll probably be making some oatmeal pancakes. Dinner is going to be the same as my lunch.
Eating times:
9 am - Breakfast
12:30 pm - Mid morning snack
3 pm - Lunch
5 pm - Mid afternoon snack
Between 7 or 8 pm - Dinner
Again, my body sculpting is custom... I picked the areas I need to work more and work on those muscles.
Tomorrow, I'll be doing the exercises for Day 2 (mid and lower body). Wednesday, I'll take a break for the resistance exercises. So for these exercises will be on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Cardio will be all five week days from Monday thru Friday. I'll see if I can go to the gym on one day over the weekend.
Measurements and current weight for 6/12/08:
Weight: 180 pounds
I don't know if I did my measurements right 'tho. :-Þ
So there it is. My plan. My weigh ins will be on Monday mornings. I will TRY not to step on the scale on days that are not Mondays. Hopefully, my body starts working on putting my metabolism on high gear.
I've been in this road several times. I tend to not finish and give up after a bump in the road. This time, I'm giving it another try and hoping I can reach my goal. There are couple of people that inspired me... so if they can do it, so can I. So here I go again. I did gained more weight since the last time I was here and updated my site. I stepped on the scale the other day and I'm at my highest weight right now... 180 lbs!!! I'm 5'2!!! I'm just tired of being this fat, uncomfortable, and depressing mood everytime I see myself in the mirrow. It's time for a change. I'm doing this for myself, my kids, and my health. I want to stay and be healthy for them and for myself.
I'm getting ready and prepared for the big day. I'm starting on June 30th, 2008. I wanted to start earlier but I decided to start on a Monday instead... a new week. Which also, June 30th is my husband's birthday. I'm hoping he can stop smoking on that day too and see who can meet the goal first.
Went to Cosco and Walmart today. I want to try those Alli pills but they are expensive. Cosco has them for like $63 (150 pills) and that is the best deal I've seen. I will wait for a bit if I decide to buy them. I know that they are aproved by the FDA and they won't mess with your head nor heart... so that is a big plus.
I still need to buy veggies and some pasteurized egg whites for the smoothies. I really want to give this another try and succeed this time.
Hope for the best and I'll see how I do on Monday and during my first week. This time, I have to push myself even more for the exercises. I need to do cardio 5 to 6 times a week. Sculpting/resistance 4 times week. It's going to be hard but I will push myself. I will do this one day at a time and one week at a time. This time, I have to be realistic and my goal is to reach 130 lbs... so I have 50 lbs to lose.
