Dinner

at my place yesteday went really well although I'm not that happy with the dessert - I think it needed more sugar actually.  The soup was fantastic even if I say so - I love pumpkin soup cause it's good, it's healthy and I do it really well.  The chicken was also very good and although we should have been 8 persons and we were 7 - one guest forgot about the dinner party!!! - we practically ate everything. As usual the combination of green, red, orange and yellow peppers was wonderful as a side dish both in colour and in taste and the potatoes were good too. The brussel sprouts were a miss. Hardly anyone touched them - I think I was the only one actually.  Guests left at 11:30pm and I stayed until 12:25am washing up.  It was great and tiring - woke up at 9:30am ths morning.

Due to my recent horrible weight gain, nothing fits anymore. I know this is an overused term but really NOTHING FITS ANYMORE. My faithful black trousers which seemed to magically fit nothwithstanding anything (have you seen The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants?) now stand so tight against my body , believe me, it's pornographic.  I have a party this evening but I'm not going part due to the pants and part due to not wanting to indulge anymore!!! Tomorrow I have work lunch which I'll go cause it's our work celebration and it's my farewell work lunch as well - what am I going to wear? Beats me - have no idea.  Did I tell you that NOTHING FITS ANYMORE? This is getting me into a bit of a situation as you can see - I am leaving for Luxembourg in 12 days time - do I buy new stuff to wear for work there at this weight?  Should I try and go cold turkey for these 12 days (excludinig tomorrow) and not buy new stuff cause if I buy the new stuff 2 things could happen . I could lose the weight (let's be positive and start with this eventuality ) and have spent money I don't really have at the moment on oversize clothes.  Or I could get comfortable with this weight and stay here until eventually I even gain some more.   Any ideas?

I went for my 20 mins walk. I know it's pathetic exercise considering what some of you are doing with all your running and stuff but those who have known me for a while know my situation. My legs are actually feeling it and I get confused whether it is good feeling or bad feeling. For now I'll stick to this 20mins walk - I really dn't want to mess things up health wise before I leave to my new job and country. Tomorrow I have to meet my soon-to-be flatmate (I've met her only once so far and very briefly). I do hope we hit it off as the flat is at a great location where there is a twice a week vegetable market and very convenient for work.

I'm off. I decided to dedicate today to finishing off my assignments which I need to hand in before I leave and also try to get a start on assignments due in February so that I'm not too hassled during my first days in luxembourg and I can concentrate on my job and my new situation there.   Have a nice weekend
