Just popping in.
I so glad ashleyb is back! WOO HOO. Check my friends list...
As I mentioned before, I am struggling from PPD. Currently they are working on my medication. My therapist says my hormones can take up to an entire year to get "regular." Yeah. I agree.
This summer I'm not teaching which is a nice break so I can just be with the baby.
I lost one pound this week, but I thought I'd gained ten.
I'll try to come back and write more later.

Stomach issues
I've been reading back over your recent blog entries, and thought I'd share that the description of your stomach getting bigger after the baby is not your imagination. I've been watching mine grow for the last year with kind of a morbid fascination, thinking "how much bigger can it get?"
The point is that the shape of my body has changed since the pregnancy (I had a c-section too). Now, when I put on any weight, it seems to go right to the waistline. My overall proportions are totally different now, and not in a good way! I think it has something to do with the damage done to the abs during pregnancy and the stretching that went on.
My pants size is now larger than when I was this weight before. It's icky.
Good luck with your meds. I had terrible anxiety when I was pregnant, but wouldn't take any meds for fear of harming the baby. I would just get absolutely hysterical and cry and cry. After the birth, however, it just kind of ebbed away. I hope you find the right meds for you now so you can enjoy your little one. The first year is so precious and will be gone in a blink. I tear up just thinking that my baby will never be a "baby" again.
Feel free to contact me if you want to talk.
