Losing Tone

I notice that my scale is slowly moving downwards, but my inches around my waistline and hips are increasing.  Yuck.  My husband says I'm probably just losing muscle tone in that area.  Yeah.  Duh.  And add to that I'm so busy with the baby to go to the gym and then when I did go I was too tired to work out.  Yes, you can be too tired to work out.

I had been walking with him in the stroller, but it's so filppin' hot down here I haven't done it in two weeks.  I went this morning before 7:30am and I was sweating from head to toe when I got back!  But, anyway, I know the walking keeps the core toned and it's something I can do with the baby.  He loves the stroller.

I'll figure it out.  I guess I should just count my blessings that I'm still in a size 16/18 and not a 28.  I should be glad that 6 months post partum I am only 8 lbs. away from my starting weight.

I guess I'll do some Subway for lunch.  I've been watching The Biggest Loser and I swear, they visit Subway every time!  Well, the propaganda worked.  I'm going today for my low-calorie, high volume lunch!

hang in there

walking is great exercise and a great way for baby to get some fresh air.  i ride the exercise bike when i am too tired to work out at the gym. the heardest part about the bike is the rock hard seat.  way to look at the bright side of things, you will knock those 8 lbs out in no time.  Keep up the great work!

I understand..

I have been there, too tired to workout thing.  I am having the opposite in that I think I am losing inches but the weight is coming off so slowly.  Anyway, Walking is a great exercise and I hope it cools down so you can do it comfortably.  Maybe you can walk him in the gym?  You are doing great!! Keep going!!

Keep sweating.  It's good.  It can take a while to figure things out, but you're doing it.  You just have to find what works for you. And....enjoy your baby.  That's the most important thing.  Could you do DVDs at home while he's napping or in the bouncy seat?  Have we already talked about this?  If I'm repeating myself...sorry.

hey how

are ya? where are you? we miss you!

Just checking in.

Mommies Unite!

Hey, Steph! I see you've been doing pretty good losing that baby weight. I have not, however. I'm looking forward to catching up with you and hearing about your little one. And yes, you're right, you CAN be too tired to work out. Mommies know.
