Before After

I had a baby!

Ephram came three weeks early so he was still considered full term.  My blood pressure sky-rocketed and from the big weight drop I know I was carrying a lot of fluid as well.  Because of the blood pressure they induced me and that induction turned into a C-section.  All is well though, but the hospital stay wasn't fun, let me tell you!  There was way too much sticking going on! However, I love life with my new baby and I can't imagine things being any other way.

Jenny Craig Direct now says that breast feeding or not (which I am not) I have to wait six weeks post partum to get back on the program.  So I have about four more weeks to not develop any bad habits.  Fortuantely, I have had no appetite since I've been home.  My huge appetite I had before the baby came is not null.  I have to make myself eat.  We took a trip to Wal-Mart yesterday and I needed a two-hour nap to recover.  So, I know that recovery will take time so maybe the six weeks is a good thing.

As of today, I am 14 days post partum and I have lost 25.5 lbs!  I only have about 23 left to get to where I was when I get pregnant! WOO HOO!

Have a great day everyone!

Congratulations!!

Congratulations on that beautiful, healthy little baby boy, Steph!! He´s wonderful!! Enjoy all those precious moments that are coming your way.

And take time to recover!! Having a baby is not easy on your body and you need time to get back to being "you". Those six weeks are really needed!!

Big hugs!

Congratulations!

So cute!

Congratulations

Steph, this is awesome news!!  Congratulations on your new son and make sure that you take good care of yourself.  Many blessings to you and to the new addition to the family.  Be back checking up on you.  Chargail

Wow

Ephram is absolutely beautiful.  God is so wonderful!  He is your beautiful baby to hold and love.  Life will be so different now that he is in your world.  My oldest will turn 17 next Friday the 7th.  They are so amazing!  He is now 6'3" and weighs about 180 lbs.  He is trying to gain weight, since he plays basketball, he needs some weight to push his way around.  He and my other children still amaze me, even on their bad days.  I watch them grow as they are becoming their own person.  I try and guide them on the right path.  Congratulations, Steph.  Your journey will be filled with so much wonder and awe!  You will love each moment of the journey.  Do you just sit and watch Ephram and see how he moves and the faces he makes?  I just loved that.  Know that I will be praying for your little family.  Give him a kiss for me!!

Congrats!

Congratulations Steph.  Isn't having a baby the most amazing experience in the world?  It's nothing that anyone can ever explain to you.  The amount of love you feel for that little guy is just amazing!  I am so happy for you.  Can't wait to see pictures of the little man!

Congratulations!

Yay for the new baby!  He's really cute!

congratulations!!

Ephram is super cute!! He's one of the cutest babies I have seen :)  I'm glad to hear both of you are doing well and I know you must feel anxious to get back to JC, but I think that you will do wonderfully during your 6 weeks till then.  Take care and hope you feel less tired!

Ephram is Beatiful!

Congrats to you - thanks for the comment on my blog.  Yeah, JC made me wait - and because I'm breastfeeding, I also had to get my doctor's permission.  But all is good - DD is growing really well and I'm shrinking like I ought to.  Reading your blog, it looks like you'll have a quick and easy time getting back to pre-pregnancy weight!  I've been at this 5 months and I'm still 30 pounds away from that.  I intend to go much farther, but pre-preg will be a nice milestone, indeed.  So big congrats to you - on the baby and on all your walking - it's doing you good!!!! -DD
