Before After

Thank you!

Thanks everyone for the kind well wishes.

I am officially 2 months pregnant as of yesterday and I have to say, pregnancy has not been fun so far.  I have had days of eating too much, back pain, and cramps.

As for the eating, I decided to stop weighing, but continue to count calories.  They say you need 300 more calories per day when you are pregnant.  Say what?  That woudl bring me to 1800 per day.  That sounds so crazy to be because I lost weight when I first started JC on 1700!  I realize now that most all bets are off when it comes to diet as I knew it pre-pregnancy.  I am tracking my calories every day still and seem to be somewhere between 1500 - 1800 per day.  It's been difficult to get into a slightly different mindset about food after the past 2 1/2 years of  diet and exercising.

Oh, that's the other things, so far my dreams of being Mz. fit and pregnant are slightly fading.  Because of my back pain and cramping, I have been told, and quickly figured out, that I need to chill much more than I anticipated.  Here we go - y et another lesson in things I can't control.

I supposed this really is preperation for motherhood.  Go with the flow.

Fortunately, the time I spend pregnant in my overall lifetime is a tiny speck.  I know I will have plenty of time to get back into my weights, etc. post baby born.

Relax

Hi, Steph,

good to hear that all is well with you. Take care of yourself and rest a lot. You are right, that baby has taken over now and you really just have to go with the flow :) Enjoy it, pregnancy is a wonderful time. Yes, in spite of the cramps, backache and everything :)

Big hugs to you!

Congratulations!

how wonderful for you!  Best wishes

hey

I just saw your post from the JC support group! When I joined JC I was very excited to find out I could still do the program while pregnant. You always worry about things like that but best of luck to you xoxo

Good week

I hope you and the baby-to-be have a good new week.  (( HUGS ))

I want to say it will get better, but each pregnancy is different, even for the same lady.  All 3 of mine I experienced different things.  But, 7 more months will go by quickly - enjoy!

yay!

Wow, look at you! I'm gone for a year and here you are still living healthy :) Good for you! And CONGRATS on the new baby! Just had our third six weeks ago, what a blessing! And at your weight you really don't need to gain much - I think I gained 15 pounds this pregnancy - and have lost it all plus some already. Dont' worry about giving in to cravings, trust your body to telly ou what it needs - it will all even out in the end. GOOD LUCK with a relatively comfortable pregnancy and a beautiful healthy baby at the end of it :)

WOW!

I've been gone for a while, so I just read the news!  CONGRATULATIONS!  Hope all is well!  Don't forget to keep us posted!

Oh so cool!

Happy Pregnancy! I envy you! My kids are all older now and I am

done with that wonderful stage of babyhood.  Lovely Memories!

Enjoy!

Take care of yourselfs!

Hey you!

I just wanted to check in on you to see how you're doing.  Hope all is well.

Long Time No Type

Hi, Steph. Congrats. I hope all is well with you. I remember how shocking the first few months of pregancy were for me after all that time devoted to diet and exercise. I gained 20 pounds in the first trimester and was ordered by the doctor to avoid exercise. The only thing I could eat was french fries and Rice Krispies and ice cream. It was like my whole life turned upsided down. If you visit my page you'll see that I'm now paying the price for all that happened in the last year. I'm right back where I started. However, I try to keep in mind that if I hadn't ever lost the weight the first time, I would weigh 260 lbs right now instead of 208. Or I might not have had the baby at all.

So, try to eat healthy when you can, but don't beat yourself up if you can't. My strongest recommendation is to keep exercising. I couldn't and it really made the end of my pregnancy difficult.

I hope to hear from you soon!
