Help! I don't know what to do!

So I had originally set out on this journey to try to do this the old fashioned way of eating better and watching portion control.  I had been trying to eat in accordance with the food guide but alas this has not been easy to keep track of.  I have stopped following the food guide and am still trying to make better food choices and watch the portion control.  Hopefully this will help!  If not, I may have to try find another way to keep track of my food intake.

How to Keep Up!!

What a day.  I think I did fairly well.  The only thing I have issues with is trying to keep track of every think I eat.  Since I am not near a computer all day this is difficult!  Whew! Tomorrow is another Day.  I need to find an easier way to track my food.  Any ideas?

Start Weight and First Day

Well, I weighed in this morning and I was still 230.  Which is fine.  I didn't lose anything over the weekend but I did not gain!!  Yeah!!  Well today is the officical start of my new lifestyle change and I woke up feeling empowered!  I cannot wait to get this going and Thanks to everyone who has stopped by my blog over the weekend.  This is a great community of people and I love the support.

Twas the Night Before My Lifestyle Change...

Twas the night before my lifestyle change and all through the house not a creature was stirring.... stirring well maybe my stomach is stirring!! 

Tomorrow is my first official day on my lifestyle change to get healthy.  I am hoping to be able to make it stick this time.  I cannot turn back!  I am making myself accountable by blogging here and I will try to blog something every day.

 

Shallow Hal Syndrome

Anyone else suffer from this?  If you have seen the movie you will know what I mean. 

It is funny when I look at myself in the mirror I don't see all the fat or how big I really am.  I see myself for me.  Luckly, my DH does as well and he is terrific!! 

Let me see a video or a picture of myself and it is like "POW" that cannot be me.  I am not that big!  This is the reality of my weight gain and although usually I don't see it others do.

I do have one more question regarding responding to comments.  I have read through many blogs here and love the support.  I was wondering how do I best respond if someone leaves a comment on my blog?  Do I respond back on my blog or respond on theirs?

Diet Plan Vs. Going It Alone

I have tried many diet plans over the years and have decided this time to do it the old fashioned way.  I hope it works.  I get too frustrated with the diet plans out there.  I am going to try to do this using common sense and portion control.  I think this may be a little hard but I am going to try it for a little bit.  I am going to try to do 3 meals and day and 3 snacks. 

Is there anyone else trying to lose weight this way?  Any successes?

My First Mini Goal

I am putting it out here for all to see.  This is my first mini goal.  I am going to loose 10% of my body weight. (23 pounds)  I plan to have this goal done my October 29, 2007.  This will entail that I must loose 1 pound per week for the next 23 weeks. 

 

And So the Journey Begins...

I am so excieted to get this journey going.  I am feeling empowered having found extrapounds.com.  I love blogging and I hope this will help me on my journey.

My actual start date will be May 22, 2007 and my goal date is Februay 9, 2009.
