I'm baaaaaaack

Well here I am again.  The whole living in my own apt thing sounded great until I realized I can't really cook haha  I have been trying to figure out what I can cook that is still healthy.  So I guess that is all.  If you want to talk about your weight loss journey or just about life my AIM name is Stacypink330.  Could use some support to get motivated and get my bum to the gym!! Hopefully I will write soon with a weight loss

A good start

I lost 8.4 pounds this week! woooohoooooo!!  I know its probably mostly water weight but it is a good start.  Hopefully I will have a good week this week too!  Wish me luck!

The beginning

So here I am at the beginning of ANOTHER summer trying to lose the weight AGAIN!  I managed to lose about 30 pounds last summer, but things went downhill at the end of the summer when I not only went back to college dining hall food, but I also turned 21.  This year, I have no distractions to worry about going back to.  Never again will I have to eat gross college food that is almost impossible to lose weight on.
I am in a wedding in August and I am really hoping to look good at it.  Although it is definitely not attainable to have reached my goal by then, I do have short term goals to get to before then.  I would like to have dropped about 25 pounds by the time the big day rolls around.
Because it worked so well last summer, I decided to go back to Weight Watchers.  I wanted to try to do the core plan, but after a week I realized that with summer barbeques and graduation parties, going without bread was not the best plan for me.  With the flex plan, I plan on sticking for the most part with core foods and limiting my bread consumption while counting up my points.
Working out has always been fun for me but its so hard to get into the routine of going.  I know once I am past this next week or so it will be easier for me to get myself back to the gym on a daily basis.  I enjoy the elliptical machine, but I would like to switch to the treadmill eventually so I can gradually work up to running - something I have not enjoyed in about 7 years.  I guess my ultimate fitness goal is to be able to run - or at least jog - a 5K road race.
As far as weight goals go, my ultimate goal is 160 pounds (Although I hate to admit it that is over 100 pounds!).  It is a long way away but I know if I take it one day at a time I can do it.  I enjoy eating healthy and working out so now that I have my own apartment and can cook healthy meals for myself, I really think this time I will be able to stick with it.  I'm sick of having no energy.
A few things that motivate me (besides my amazing family and friends) are cuter clothes and my future wedding dress - it's a long way off but I don't want to be a fat bride!!  I'm just so ready to begin this journey to a healthier sexier body!
I hope that I can blog every week if not more and let you know my progress.  Hopefully I will find another blogger to go on this journey with and be able to share tips with!!
