slow start!

Hi everyone! I know i haven't been on in a few weeks, good way to start a web page! duh! I have been working way to much, I got assistant manger at my job, so thats one reason, and the other is my 83 yr old grandmother, she has not been doing so well in the last few months, so on my days off,and when i can i am taking care of her. I feel so overwhelmed right now! sometimes its hard to breathe!  well anyways, enough of that! I haven't been walking, and i know we ( my hubby and I) need to get back to that, because i know it was giving me more energy and also lose pounds.  I think i am at a slow period in losing? I have only lost 41/2 pounds the last few weeks. I am bound and determined to start walking and biking again at least 3 times a week, so that is my goal this month.  I do have a vacation in 4 days! yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaa! we are leaving to go to myrtle beach on saturday for 5 days! i can not wait, it is the only place i can relax and not think about anything! the only sad thing is my 19 yr son, isn't going this year, he just started a job in june, and can't  get away, which i understand. so , it just kinda makes me feel bad! hopefully next year he will be able to go.  My daughters boyfriend is going(seperate rooms of course! lol) so i hope we have a good time! well i need to go check on grams again! i will probably post end of next week! maybe i will get some kewl pics of the ocean to post! see ya next week!

starting day!

Hi , everyone in the extrapounds community! This is my first day on here, so I thought i would tell alittle about myself. I am 38 years old, have been married 20yr, (just celebrated it on july 11) have one son 19, one daughter 16, and one dog! My husband and I have both deceided this is the year that we are going to get healthy. I started out at 226 on June 22, 2007,and am down to 212. I feel as if i am at a stump! he keeps losing, and I have stayed the same the last 2 weeks. We have been trying to walk and bike at least 14 miles a week. I have been trying to do a 2000 calorie a day diet, that is what the dr. prescribed! But have been only doing 1200 or so. maybe thats the problem? well anyways, I am glad to  meet everyone!
