OK where to begin.  As always with the Song of the Post.

Song of the Post:

For the Non dance song: This week it will be Josh Rouse 1972

Ok where to go next?  how about this, I have started everything over again.  I have lacked focus in the past, and I have consulted a personal trainer to bring myself inline.  I have also gotten FAT!.  I kid you not all the rules that I posted about how to stay thin, I did not follow, including though not limited to:
1) Wearing elastic all winter to be comfortable.  This is dangerous, elastic in general is dangerous.  Get rid of all non-workout elastic and you will be much happier.  PJs, just make sure that you only wear them to bed, not all day.
2) Food through a window, this is not healthy let alone vegan.  I have done that through out the winter as this was considered one of the worst winters in history for us out here.  I did not do any shopping, nor did I do any cooking.  That has to stop.  So I have made food for the next couple of days, completely vegan, and most of it is raw.
3) Working out - this is a must, you have to do this if you want to be healthy.  So I have looked into a trainer to help me along the way.

What is with the sudden change of Pace?  Well, I would love to say that I have the internal motivation, maybe it is in the water?  No, actually it is the external motivation that is getting to me.  I have been chatting with a fellow vegan online, and it is going well between us so far.  Well, I would like to look presentable for our first encounter, and that will take some time as well as some work.  OK a lot of work.

Fun fact: according to veganexpress, the number of people who are vegans is less than the number of people who have been abducted by aliens.  I have a better chance to be abducted than meeting another vegan.  Wow.

Ok, so this is a quick one, as I have too much energy to sit in front of a computer anymore.

Have a great one
Steve (SoF)

Welcome back!

It's so challenging to stay on track in the winter with holidays, weather and general seasonal demotivation to contend with.

I was listening to NPR this weekend and they did an interview with a chef who's created some really good vegan soul food. The cookbook has received some great reviews: http://www.amazon.com/Vegan-Soul-Kitchen-Creative-African-American/dp/0738212288/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1239395969&sr=8-1

Thought you might be interested.

Good for you for getting back on track. A trainer will certainly do wonders! I'm considering making another appointment with one at my gym again.

Have a great weekend!

.

Whohoo.. Nice to hear you excited about your vegan buddy.. any plans/date to meet set up yet?!

I hear ya about the elastic pants.. I almost bought some dress(work) pants with elastic the other day and quickly stopped myself. It's bad enough that I wear "mom" jeans since I refuse to spend $150+ on jeans like my skinny friends do!

Missed ya
Anna

Hi Steve!

You always make me smile.  Love your honestly, and love that you are getting on track.  Think it's great you have outside motivation.  Nothing wrong with that.

Hope you had a beautiful Easter weekend.  Alicia
