Back on the road again...
So i'm back home now, which is GREAT. Means i can adjust back to 'normal' life.
Am going grocery shopping tonight, and will buy some stuff to start Book 2 of the CSIRO diet on Monday.
Am also going to go to the gym tonight - not for long, just to start the couch to 5k plan again.
Sorry i didnt blog yesterday - it just completely slipped my mind. I posted messages in everyone elses blogs - just not mine!
I've been absolutely ravenous the last couple of days. Especially today. I dont really know why - i've eaten my normal food, and arent exercising any more. Maybe my monthly friend is about to visit again - damnit!
According to the urn the fat feed the muscle book i'm reading, i need to be around 1400 - 1800 calories per day. I need to also eat some protein (ideally animal based) per meal. So, with the help of calorie king i'm going to kind of try to count some calories. i'm REALLY bad at this stuff, so i'm going to TRY. that's my commitment to myself.
I still have it in my head that if i make good (and predominantly natural - as little human interference as possible) food choices, and exercise more than i'm at now, then i'll lose weight.
What do you think? Are counting calories a necessity?
I'm also going to weigh in tonight *fingers crossed!*

PS: Carmens muesli bars are the BEST Aly, and they're healthy-ish and keep you full. full of loose nuts, YUM! 197 calories, but are basically like a meal nutrition wise. Sometimes i have them as just brekky
Food eaten Wednesday::
- 2 weetbix (107 calories -wow, thats low!) skim milk 41 calories)
- 2 rice cakes (about 80 in total) with low fat cream cheese(about 80... so about 160 in total)
- Weight Watchers penne carbonara (think around 307 calories - 5 pts apparently)
- 2 mini sausage rolls party size (116 EACH! oh my god - so 232)
- Green thai chicken curry w/ noodles, chicken & vegies (blame the boy on the noodle thing, i usually have rice - he's a weirdo! but he cooked it so i'm not complaining - about 480 calories)
- hand ful salt and vinegar chips (around 20g so 104 calories)
- about 1.5 litres water (does water have calories?!)
TOTAL: about 1431. Woohoo!
I actually cant believe it's that low. I ate chips and mini sausage rolls, and wasnt hungry at all!
Plan for rest of today (it's now midday):
- Go for a bit of a walk at lunch time (around 15 minutes or so - better than nothing!)
- Do grocery shopping
- 30 minutes at gym
YAY! i feel GOOD!

Yum!
Sausage rolls sound yummy! What are they? Good for you for eating pretty healthy. I've said I was going to try Weetabix but I wasn't sure how good it tasted. What is the couch to 5K plan I keep hearing about?
I know you are probably wondering "Who is this woman and why is she asking me so many questions?".
I'm just making friends. :-)

Calories can kiss my ass!
Yeah i ran that much non-stop! I thought I was gonna die but obviously I didn't!! ... just hope I can do it again! Don't run every day!.... i use the airwalkers the other days, run maybe 3 times a week... hopefully more soon!! :)
I would post my food blog in the proper section but cos this is an american sit the dates are out of whack!!
Mornings:
- ceral in the morning @ my work desk :P with milk
Lunch:
- sanga, or pasta or rice with vegies and meat
Dinner:
- Whatever is going, but last night I've decided it will just be soup and wholegrain toast... boring i know but gotta look hot in a bikini soonish!!
Snacks:
- Fruit , nuts
- Filling up on loads of water
Spoke to a natrapath in the vitamin shop and she suggested blackmores weight loss accelerate too.... take 2, 30 mins before meals. sounds better than all them crappy fat blaster and other diet pills! ALLLLL natural!! I can say it does help block of thoughts of junkfood and unnecessary snacking!
I work 8am- 4pm (or 5pm), take the train in, have to change trains! Avoid driving in peak hour at all costs!!
Hope i answered all your questions!!

Yay!
I'm going to search for Carmens next time I grocery shop. :) :)
I can't count calories well because I'm hopeless, but I just checked my Caramello that I gleefully ate and it was around 250, so fits well. I'm more inclined to just think of it as points style, and just CHECK the back of stuff. When you get in the habit of checking the cals/points of stuff, it gets easier.
Can't wait to hear about your weigh in. xo

Now that you're back home, I have no doubt you'll be able to stay on track. You're doing great!

Thanks for the links!
I know it's probably going to break my points but one day I'm going to have to make sausage rolls. They sound divine!

Homecoming
Glad you're home. Sounds like your plan is working pretty good. I would freak out not counting calories though. I think it just depends on how good you are a portion control.

Something
I think it definitely helps to be aware of what is going in and out whether you are counting calories, points or just being very mindful of the food you are eating and the amount of exercise going on.
Have a great Sunday!
