Hump day!
Today is humpity hump day - and i'm feeling it.
Have been really busy at work the last couple of days. Am definitely counting down to my holdays - only 10 weeks to go! *sighs*
Then i'll be heading up to sunny QLD (north of AUS... i'm in the south). Hooray! Am v.excited, and it'll be dead in the middle of winter, so it'll be pretty warm up there (about 25 degrees celcius/80 fahrenheit in QLD, 12/55 where i am)
OMG I forgot to tell you.... i got my car back yesterday! So very, very happy. The mechanic was so good. My boy went in to pick it up at around 3.30pm and it wasnt quite ready. So they said they'd drop it off to my house that evening. My boy went out for about 15 minutes to pick me up from the train station, and of course they dropped it off then. So they hid the key for me (i found it). Then later the mechanic dropped back in to make sure i got the key and he got the right house and stuff.
Talk about good service!
So went back home to pick it up, spent the night with the boy - although we only saw each other for about 15 minutes because he had Gridiron (american football training).
They lost on the weekend, so got NAILED at training... was so funny!
Tonight i'm going back too because i'm having dinner with a friend, and then i'll get to see the boy a bit more. Hooray!
Then Thursday i'll drive back to where i'm house sitting and spend thursday night there alone... then Friday the boy will come up and we'll spend the weekend together house sitting.
WOW, the week sure does go quickly.
On Saturday we're going to the football (AFL - www.afl.com.au) which will be fun.
OH... and my sister is going on a DATE.
DATE.
MY BABY SISTER.
Well, she isnt that much of a baby really - she's 19. But she's been in a really, really shit relationship for like a year, and they broke up about 2 months ago. I'm talking domestic violence, physically and mentally abusive. So it's really good she's moving on with her life.
The guy sounds fairly reasonable, although me being the over protective sister (particularly in these circumstances) is very judgemental!
Food was pretty reasonable yesterday. Not sure how it'll go tonight because i'm going to a pub with a friend - if i drink (if) i'll limit it to one wine. And, lets be honest - i'll probably have some chips. But that's okay - i havent had them in ages. I'm also really craving steak, so am going to listen to my body and have one. I must be lacking iron.
Love youse all (in her best Kath'n'Kim accent http://www.kathandkim.com/ ... you americans might not get it)
