Before After

What a great weekend!

The weekend turned out perfect.

On Saturday we had a bit of a lazy morning, then visisted my uncle who has recently had brain surgery. Then we drove to Seymour - the place where we spent the weekend.

We stayed at a thoroughbred breeding farm which was amazing. The stables were right near us, but they werent noisey. It was just rolling hills, with lots of birds (especially kookaburras) and kangaroos jumping around at dusk and dawn.

The room was amazing - a HUGE spa with little in built pillows which was the size of a four person spa, big comfy four poster bed and a cute little kitchenette.

I cooked dinner for the boy - a big thick porterhouse steak with a creamey garlic seafood sauce (prawns, calamari, mussels) and some salad on the side. We were so full we didnt get round tot he desert i had planned! (blueberry pie).

I got a bit scared during the night because it absolutely POURED. it rained SO hard, i was almost crying because i was scared tomorrow would be cancelled.

The boy made a beautiful breakfast for me in the morning as it was my birthday. He gave me my presents too - a beautiful diamond heart necklace in white gold, and also a crystal perfume bottle (you know, the one with the puffer thing? it's so pretty)

At about midday we headed off to the rally track. It was kind of showery, but not raining too hard. The boy was SO surprised. He had no idea i had this planned as his birthday present (his birtday was a week before mine)- he got to do laps of this rally circuit in a suburu wrx (his dream car).

You couldnt wipe the smile from his face - he was a very happy boy.

On the food front, this weekend wasnt real crash hot. But, on the happiness front it was - and hopefully my good mood and good life can rub off on to other aspects of my life.

In testominy to that, i went to the gym this morning and did week 1 of the couch to 5k program. So i spent 20 minutes on the treadmill - not awesome, but all i can manage to fit in before work.

I weighed in too, and was still 98.7kgs - so no gain, which i'm ahppy about.

Have a good week girls!

Much love!

Real Crash Hot

is my new expression for today.  Good thing it wasn't, though (get it - your boy was driving a car) HeHe.

I'm glad you enjoyed your weekend - sounds like it was AWESOME - with kangaroos to boot!

Kudos to you for starting the new couch to 5K program.  Another person getting on the running bandwagon - ugh!  Looks like I'm going to have to kick it up a notch soon!

Have a great day!

How Awesome Was Your Weekend

Sounds like a wonderful weekend. Happy birthday!

YUM

What a great weekend! Glad both you and the boy had a good one. Mmm, reading your food list has made me crave Subway for dinner. I feel like either a chicken fillet one OR a chicken teriyaki. YUM.

P.S. Thanks for the kind words over the pizza. Now that I look back, the first bite of cheesy goodness was worth it, as a treat!
