Before After

The end of CD and start of WW!

I just couldn't do it!  I felt sick, dizzy, hungry and depressed all day, and I thought - this isn't worth it.  I weighed (no pun intended) up all the pros and cons and have decided to come off CD.  I've suffered from depression before, I don't want to go back there.

I'm weighing myself Monday morning and I'm back on Weight Watchers as of tomorrow!  I can have 22 points a day, and I've been out food shopping with my dad and bought the food for the week.  It's going to be a proper, well balanced, healthy diet!  We've bought plenty of vegetables, and some fruit!  Even if I only have 3 or 4 portions of fruit and veg a day that will be an improvement.

I'm also going to keep track of what I'm eating - probably on here to give me that little bit more motivation!  After a week or so I'm going to introduce exercise, I would go walking but the winter has suddenly arrived so that's out.  I have Davinas 'Power of Three' work out so will try doing that three times a week.

I think that this is better suited to me, I have already lost 47lbs on it, I just needed to find the will power to stick to it again.  I've got that now - if I can completely go without food for nearly four days, then I can easily eat healthily and limit my treats!

I'm very excited!

WW

I'm glad to hear you are going back to WW!  I haven't heard of the Cambridge Diet before today but it sounds like it is a lot less flexible and you can't eat as much.  One thing I've learned from WW is that you can eat more and still lose a decent amount of weight every week.

Thank you for visiting my blog, I really appreciate your comments!

Good luck with everything, I will come back and see how things are going for you.  You can totally do this!  Are you on the flex plan?  I love that plan, it's helped me lose 60 pounds over the past year.  And even if you lose slower than those fad diets, at least you are losing at a rate that will allow you to stick to the same diet in the future, after you've reached your goal.

Take care,

Leanne

Yeah for WW

I'm so glad to hear that you have come off the cambridge diet. It got banned here in the UK in the late 80's as loads of people became anorexic and in some cases a few people died! Back then it was just 2 milk shakes a day made with water and some small food bar in the evening. Total intake was only 300 calories!! I guess the one you have done is slightly better as things have improved with time, but I'm sure it's still not safe.

WW is a much better idea. You can eat proper food and you will feel bettrer in yourself which will make you be able to stick to it. There is no fast fix for weightloss, I wish there was. You have done amazingly well so far with your 50lb loss. Just keep going steadily. You will be there before you know it!
