That's right...I did it!
You heard (well...read) me right, ladies! I did it...YES ME! I ran all the way around my block....with out stopping...TWICE! Last night it was raining but I really wanted to go for a run. I had done a really good strength training session earlier yesterday, but I also had a big only sort of healthy lunch. So I did it...I just went outside and ran. I have made it around my block all the way once or twice so I felt certain I could do it again...but then after the first trip around I kept going, I told myself...just one more block...make it to that driveway...and before I knew it I had gone around twice! Anyway, what a happy day it was! Today...I'm pretty sore, but I'm going to go to Curves like I said I would. Then it's back to the library....one and a half weeks until the semester is over!

lost 3 lbs.
I am very happy I lost the 3 pounds that I have gained back over the past couple of weeks. That puts my total back up to 10 lbs! WOOOHOO.
Anyway, I went to Curves today..on the way I had to get gas and the gas station was all backed up and it was just a bit frustrating. Then I went to Curves and (for any of you who have been you will understand) this lady kept skipping around me...going to the machine in front of me and then the one behind me and then sometimes I had to wait for her to get off the machine I was supposed to be on. It states clearly in the rules that you are not to skip a machine!
Anyway...I felt better after she left and I am glad I went.
Have a great day everyone!

Good day!
Well, a few nights ago I met this awesome girl...and then she was telling me this story about how she lost 60 pounds! I called her today to go for a walk so I could pick her brain. What an inspiration she is. I know I can look at all of you and you are all an inspiration, but to see it right in front of me! Anyway, the walk was awesome and the weather was awesome...so I'm feeling very good! I also have money so I can go to the store and get lots of good food!
I think I am finally back on track...so I hope everyone is having an awesome day!

Too much fun was had...
.....last night! I had a great time. I did alright with eating...I had half of some chicken nachos, but I tried to eat mostly chicken and lettuce and tomato with a little cheese and salsa mixed in. It was very good. I didn't have any margaritas...as it was not dollar margarita night and I am broke! I did have several beers...so not great...but I danced for about 4 hours straight...I woke up a little sore this morning! I did end up going to Curves yesterday and it kicked my butt just a little. I'm going to go walking today and running later tonight. I am also going to work on some weights. Tomorrow I'm planning on getting up early (10...i know..not really early ...but I'm in college!) and going to curves again. I also have five more papers to write in the next two weeks and several books to finish...so I probably won't have a ton of time to make big dinners. I'm hoping that I will be able to do some healthy snacking though while I'm slaving away in the library.
Wish me luck!

Need to get back on track
Well, today has gone alright. I had a slimfast shake for breakfast and two slices of wheat crust pizza for lunch. We're going to have mexican tonight for a friends birthday but I'm going to try and convince my boyfriend to split out meal and I'm going to go easy on the dollar margaritas! No time for a run tonight, but I'm going to curves around 2 after I get done with class. I just need to get my priorities back in check...because the thing I want most in life right now is to be healthy....besides maybe to get my degree. I've been concentrating so much on school that all I want to do when I'm not doing school work is have fun...which entails eating and drinking way too much! I only have four more papers to do before the end of the semester so this weekend and next week and the following week I will spend all of my time at the library (sounds so fun, huh!). So tonight is my last night of partying until summer. I will also have a bit more income starting next week, so I will be able to buy more healthy foods. I'm excited to get back on track...but I'm really not looking forward to weighing in today at curves! I haven't been in almost 3 weeks! Oh well, maybe it will help me realize that I really do need to stick with it.
Well, have a great day everyone!

Just a 'sort of' day...
Today was a little strange for me. I went to school...found out one of my best friends quit her job...which was actually a really really good thing, so I took her out to lunch but she insisted on buying me dessert...so what could I do? I only ate half. Then I went to a friends house to make cake for a birthday party tomorrow. I did good and only had a tiny spoonful of batter and no cake! I'm planning on having just a spinach salad with a little tuna for dinner since I've eaten so much today already.
I have been really good about running every night. But still not good at going to Curves. I'm going to make it on Friday and Saturday though. And three times next week. I just need to get back in the habit!
Well off to relax!

I did it!
So tonight at midnight....i ran all the way around my block with out stopping!!!!! Yes, I was terribly out of breath by the end of it..but I still did it. I'm going to do it again tomorrow night and the next night and all week and then next week I'm going to run a little further! How exciting!
Other than that, my day was not so great. I at alright, and honestly, a lot better than I have been eating...but I had some taco bell tonight which wasn't good. Oh well, better luck tomorrow, I guess!
My goals for tomorrow:
RUN!
Eat 1500 cal or less
weights
walk
Have a great day everyone!

Bad couple of days!
Well, diet wise anyway. My boyfriend turned 23 on friday and we had big cook out and party. It was very fun and good to see a bunch of old friends, but it wasn't so good on the diet front. I also haven't been working out. I haven't been to the gym in two weeks! YIKES! We've been so broke lately that its been hard to eat at all...let alone healthy. But we should get back on our feet soon and so we will be able to eat better this week. I'm still dedicated to eating healthy and losing weight, it's just so hard to stick to when everyone around you is eating whatever crap they want and you can't. But all of you know all about that. I just need to take some deep breaths and re-evaluate what is important. And cake is certainly not as important as being healthy and living a longer happier life...right? Well, I could use some encouragement. Hope to hear from you all soon.

Long time no talk...
Well, It's been quite a while now! I went to Chicago last week...had a BLAST! I ate alright, actually. I always split my meals with other people so that was good and I had some great food. I also walked a ton! So altogether not too bad. I haven't gotten back in the swing of things as far as dieting is concerned since I've gotten back, although, I really haven't eaten to poorly. My leg has been killing me, so I haven't made it back to Curves since I've been back and no running or anything. Tomorrow I will go to Curves though and I will try to get some running in tomorrow night. I will also get started recording my food again tomorrow.
I am off to read a few blogs before dinner. Hope every is having a great week!

Tuesday...rainy Tuesday
So far today is going great. I went to class this morning but my afternoon class is canceled so I am going to go to Curves at 12:30 since I skipped yesterday. I am also going to go tomorrow but I will be out of town this weekend so I can't go on Friday. But I will be walking around museums and around Chicago all weekend so I figure that counts as my workout.
I was up a pound today at WI but I'm okay with that because I really let myself go on Easter and only being up a pound is just fine with me. I'm planning on losing it again by Friday (or really monday since I can't WI friday).
Have a great day everyone!
