Before After

am back!

Ok, I am back from my long break. I was on an indulging trip and had no access to gym and did nothing for 4 weeks, but now I am back all charged up and ready to get back to my old health routine.

I have gained a little weight during my holidays, but I think I have gained more inches than pounds. I started my old weekly boot camp class on Saturday and believe it or not I am still very sore from it! (long lazy breaks suck!), but I am slowly getting back to the old diet/fitness routine!

I also signed up for our classes dance team and I have to practice a new routine every Sunday for 2 hours, which is nice.

Miss you all and am looking forward to getting back on track! :)

needed a quick break

I needed a quick break from logging and being a good girl, so I took advantage of this Canadian long weekend and had a little carbs and worked out a little less and didn't update my weekly health log.

But at least I didn't seem to gain any weight either. I am still 116.6 lbs. and hopefully I'll be lighter for next week.

back after a while

I guess being urged to update that diet/exercise tracker that Anar has introduced doesn't leave me much time (or topics) to talk about here! However it has made me way more conscious about what I eat and that's a humongous achievement for me!

This morning I decided to wear one of my summer skirts to work as it's sunny and beautiful today and that's doesn't necessarily happens often enough in Vancouver. I'd bought this skirt exactly a year ago, when I already had lost some visible inches!! To my own surprise the skirt was falling off my bum and was at least one full size big for me! Isn't that fantastic?

Our lovely Anar finished her very first half marathon

I am sooooo proud of Anar  for her dedication, motivation, decipline, persistence, and for her very big heart!

She is an idol for many of us. She's as kind as an angel! She ran each mile of the 13 miles half marathon for one (or some) of us! How can someone who hasn't even met you in real life be so kind and sweet to you? She ran the 6th mile for me! and I don't even think I deserved it! I haven't lost more than a pound since we started the Tuesday e-meetings and she is so sweet that she still ran a mile for me!

Now I feel obliged to stick to my carb-reduced and fat-reduced diet and make sure I lose this last 3 pounds! What motivation could really be better than being a friend of Anar? I'd say that's all I need!

I am so proud of you Anar joon!

screwed up again

I screwed up again!

I have gained some weight again! I guess I lost it during the weekend when TC came back from his business trip and we (along with mom) went out for dinner to a Spanish/Mexican restaurant and had appetizer, meal, and dessert!

Then on Saturday we went out for a drink before the STOMP show and had bears and appetizer!

Then on Sunday night TC made pork/cheese cutlets (breaded and fried) and I had a bite of it along with my green salad, but the next day I had the leftovers for lunch!!

Again yesterday, we went our for lunch and had appetizer and a chicken pesto sandwitch full of cheese and mayo!

Also had apple/caramel crunch pie and ice cream last night!!!

I SUCK!!! and I feel horrible about!

carbs... finding the balance with carbs

Woohoo! I m slowly on my way out of my long 119 Lbs. plateau!

I am now 117.2 Lbs. (52.9 Kg) and it feels awesome. I guess for me who's in love with sugar and carbs, the trick to get out of my 6-months plateau was to go smaller on carbs.

I am totally against removing the carbs from anyone's diet. Carbs are the first source of energy in the body and it works like magic when you workout actively! So something like Atkins diet is totally against my religion. But by limiting the amount of carbs I take daily, I've notice some positive difference on the scale. The key here is to find that balance point somewhere between "lots of carbs" and "no carbs at all" lines.

have been bad yesterday after a few days of being good

I blew it up yesterday! it's all because of how I feel during my period!

After a good few days of watching carefully what I eat, I gave it up yesterday. I had one Mars bar (260 cals) half a bar of dark chocolate w/ nuts and dried crans one full bag of spicy rice snacks a quarter of rice crispy squares in addition to my breakfast/lunch/dinner! Isn't this disasterous? What is wrong with me? Just because my body has strong cravings during my period, it doesn't mean that I should blow it up?!!

I am angry.... very angry... and I feel super guilty!

I haven't been on the scale since last week. Instead I tried to eat a bit healthier (only a tiny bit)... I had more fruit and greens over the past week. I tried to have less carbs at lunch/dinner time, however didn't skip (and neither did I plan to) my carbs at breakfast.

For those who will be off on Easter holiday, wish you a joyful time and please don't cut all your physical activities and stay on your healthy diet.

Keep the easter egg chocolates for your kids, nieces, nephews instead!
