I have been somewhat stressed this week. I feel like I have been eating a lot. I have not been tracking calories since last Wednesday(I think) If I would have kept track maybe I would find I haven't done so bad after all. ????
I just feel like I have been eating a lot. I have been good as far as staying away from the fast food. I was really hungry Saturday(I did get in lots of dancing that day.) but had to eat on the run. I had the fruit and walnut salad and a grilled chicken snack wrap. Two good choices considering where I was :) I did eat some sweets later at the party though :( I am sure I am just being to hard on myself.
I didn't get in my Monday workout. The snow cancelled schools all over MI and when there is a snowday I don't teach. Another one of those community ed perks( I really actually wanted to go ) Oh well I did have a lot of organization to do for an appraisal on Tuesday. I cleaned my book shelf and organized it. I did a lot :) I did get in my weight training and some dancing on Wednesday. I have such a hard time working out with my dh home. I didn't work on Thursday. Today I want to get in my weight training because tommorrow I am dancing.
I will get back on track. I will count my cals today :) Oh I didn't WI this week after 2 holiday parties over the weekend I decided next week was better. I'll WI on Christmas eve. Have a beautiful day !!! Shawn
I have had a busy weekend. Dancing on Saturday and work at the restaurant yesterday. We closed early for our anual Christmas party. Needless to say I am sure I took in many cals over the last two days. I did at least get in 3 hours of dance and I did work yesterday. So I am sure I didn't do as badly as I am making it out to be.
I have to clean off my bookshelf and organize it. I have to get my desk cleaned off.
Thanks for all the wonderful comments. I will get over to visit other blogs tommorrow(probably afternoon). Enjoy your day ! Shawn
I meant to post this yesterday but I never got that far.
I had a low calorie day on Wednesday and when I woke up yesterday my fingers were all puffy. Ok I know my body that meant even though I did awesome on the calorie intake I was holding water. HMMMM. So being the inquiring mind that I am I looked at my sodium intake from the past week(by looking at the sodium intake on my daily plate. It's so awesome It not only keeps track of the cals it tells you what percenatge of sodium you took in for the day.) Well my sodium intake was outrageous. No wonder I was holding water.
So anyway my goal for the next 6 days( I only took in 65% of the sodium intake yesterday. YAY) So the goal is 1 week of low sodium. I like my lean cuisine and covenience meals but this week I am going to make my own meals. Yesterday I made my own microvave meal. I took 2 cups frozen veggies(broccoli, red peppers, carrots, water chesnuts) and 1 4oz frozen tilapia fillet. I seasoned the fish with garlic, red curry powder and I forget the other one I used. I put them in a microwave safe dish covered them with parchment paper. I microwaved for 6 minutes. The fish was flaky and tender and moist. The veggies were crisp tender. It was not proccessed so it was low sodium.
I will continue to cycle the calories. It has been helping. Yesterday was a high calorie day and I still only took in 65% sodium.
Actually another 1.8 lbs. And another ones gone and another ones gone! Yes!! I stepped on the scale this morning and it was actually down to 193.2
I can tell you this is very exciting to me ! Now let me tell you the story on why this number has me so estatic. When I had Matthew who will be 3 on the first day of spring I was 212 lbs when I came home from the hospital. I got down to 193(Yes I am here again and ready to get even lower with that number) I was under tremendous stress remodeling the house I live in. It was actually condemned when I bought it. That should give you a clue what work it has been. Anyway I did allow my self to ballon up to that 222 that I was in June of this year. And I am very happy to be back at 193 ! It has been hard work but all so worth it !
This calorie cycling has really been paying off for me. I posted my graph from the daily plate of the last week. The blue line didn't show up real well, but it was a straight line across for my recommended daily calories. The red is the actual calories and the green is the net calories( which takes into account my exercise) I do thank all you EPers who recommended Daily Plate. It's awesome and so much easier than traditional calorie counting and so many neat tools ! Thanks
I absolutely love music. Doesn't matter what kind. I love Hymns, contemporary Christian music, rock, country, blues, classical.
When I was a child, I used to listens to Old school country because my mom did. But as I got to be a teenager I listened more to rock(as old as I am starting to be it was what's now classic rock) so anyway I hadn't listened much to country except when I was little. I started singing Karaoke on a dare from my dh. It's funny before I started singing Karaoke I didn't listen much to country. I don't listen all the time to it because I really like a whole ton of different styles but I listen more than when I was a teenager.
I even did a Karaoke contest that a local radio station was putting on. One of the judges came up and handed me her card(I didn't win because there were so many wonderful singers there that night. The judges had a hard decision to make) It was a country radio station so I had to sing country. I sang Jo Dee Messina. She is one of my favorite female country singers. She has a strong faith in Christ. I am listening to Jo Dee on a Tampa bay radio station morning show. The internet is so cool. I get to listen to my fav female country artist even though I am not even close to Tampa Bay. Jo Dee is an awesome fitness role model, too. She ran the Boston Marathon this year. And she is in the current issue of SELF and will be in next months issue of Muscle and Fitness Hers. I don't buy Self very often but I will have to pick it up when I go to the grocery store this morning.
Today I am going to do Yoga. My muscles are sore from Sat,Sun, and Mon workouts. Saturday I got to see my belly dance teacher who had a baby recently. Her little girl is so adorable. She did a make up class for when her doctor told her she had to quit teaching. So I got in about 3 hours of dance on Sat between both lessons.I will get in about the same next Saturday.Sunday I got in at least 3 maybe 4 hours of workouts. And I got in 1 hour yesterday. So I think working on flexabilty will be a good thing. I need to eat low cals today. I ate low cals on Sun but high cals on Fri,Sat and Mon.
I gotta get my boy off to school. Have a wonderful day! I will check in on all of you when I get back :) Shawn
Nice workshop yesterday. The presenter emailed photos of us this morning that were taken yesterday.I don't have the time to download them and post them today. And I thought my bootcamp classes were tough LOL whew what a lot of work I did yesterday. I would say of all the class time I spent about 3 hours of it doing workouts maybe 4. The bootcamp gave me some awesome ideas for my class in January and was really tough. But ina good way. I do have to work today so as much as my muscles think they need a break I got to work today. I have to come up with an awesome class plan. Of all the things we worked yesterday we didn't actually do abs(not directly, we did things that strengthened the core but we didn't do abs) So I think I will focus on the abs today. Even in standing cardio phase. I have the plan formulating in my mind but need to write it down and make sure things transition smoothly.
I have to make me a cd for class today. I am going to put on some cardio music for the first half( the cardio and weight training half) and I got a celtic Christmas cd and I am going to put it on the second part of the cd for the pilates and stretch portion of the class :) There are only this week and next week left before christmas. and then classes resume in January.
So anyway it's busy busy busy! I have to get my butt in gear to make that cd and class plan :)
I miss checking in on all of my ep friends. I will try to get in some Blog reading and catching up tomorrow. I should be able to at least fit in some short comments and some reading. Til tomorrow :) Have a healthy, happy , active day :) Shawn

I got up made my dear husband coffee and a cap. And I made this yummy protien shake and gave him some to take and ate had the rest after my Turbulence Training. I had a couple sips before and decided it was filling me up quick so I waited to finish it til I was done with my training.
Recipe
10 oz skim milk
3 scoops Eas Simply Protien whey protien powder (Vanilla)
2 c frozen organic blueberries
1 c frozen strawberries
2 Tbs milled flax seed
I blended it up in my blender it made 2 servings The nearest I can figure from my daily plate calculations It had 400 cals and 5 grams of fiber. Lots of protien, calcium, and vitamin C. Plus the flax added some fiber and "good" fat.
Tonight is going to be busy. I have to take my daughter to school early for her choir concert tonight. Then I have to take my boy to cub scouts(my dh usually does but will not be home from work early enough this week) and then run back to watch my daughters choir concert( I will actually be a few minutes late coming from cub scouts directly, bringing my boy to the concert with me.) I hope I still get a good seat.
I hope to still get in a little more training today. Maybe some interval cardio and yoga. 30 min of each. We'll see. Matthew is going to be the variable on that one. I am happy to have gotten in my weight training this morning.
I am going to take Friday off training because I am going to get in dancing on Sat and Sunday I am sure to burn more cals than I take in with those workshops :)
My calorie cycling has been going well. This is supposed to be a high calorie day but I think I will go mid today and high Friday and Saturday because I know Sunday will be both low cals and high exercise.
