Drum Roll please!     Down 2.6 lbs this week !  Yay! I am so excited!  My goal of making it back to ONEderland before June 12 is looking quite possible !

 

Sadly today is the last day of my free trial to the gym !   I really enjoyed the weight machines.They are going to weigh and measure for my final results of 3 weeks using their gym. They took measurements the first day. I know I have lost weight in the last three weeks. 6.4 lbs. So I would imagine I have lost inches too. I'll report back on that tomorrow.

 

I just got two new workout DVD's. Karen Voight  Slim Toning on a Ball (ball and weight trainig)      and Firm Balance trainer kit with balance disc and dvd(Skill, Drills and Thrills) I will try them out tomorrow. Today I am going to the gym, so they are my fitness plan for tomorrow.

Busy day!

Hi EP'rs. I had a very busy day so I haven't had time to post. I thought I would give a quick up date.

I had to work on mother's day so I didn't get to visit my mom. She lives 2 hours away. Anyway I visited today instead. I got her a rose bush to plant(her favorite flower) and took her out for brunch. I got back at 4:30. Was home for about half an hour and ran off to the gym. I did the step class and weights. So I got in 1.5 hours. I didn't get in my workout yesterday but I did very well as far as calorie control goes.

Now that I am back from the gym I spent about 45 min on the computer and have to shower so I can run off to Detroit to see my son play at a coffee shop. Gotta run :)          Shawn

Hope all Moms had happy mom day!

Happy belated Mother's day to all of you mom's out there !

I had to work at the restaurant on Sunday morning(actually we open at noon) so any way I worked from 11:30 til 4:30.After work I just ordered pizza to take home to the family. It was my Free day anyway. I ate a lot yesterday  but my eating has been very controlled otherwise. I have been doing well :) I did workouts on Mon,Tues, Thursday, and Saturday. I did weight training 3 of the days. Saturday I danced for about 3.5 hours. It was my first day back to dance lessons. So All in all I had a great weekend.

I am still sticking with my Tursday weigh ins. 

I have to work today 4 pm til close.

Desicions......Decisions

Good afternoon !

Thanks to Chantal,Alicia, and Laura for your encouragement! It really means a lot to me! I am posting just to say hi.I have to get some work done around the house today because I will gone all day tomorrow.So I won't check in on evryone, just post and get my butt to work around the house.

I did make it to the gym yesterday And saw a lot of cool  music last night. The coffee shop even has an actual stage set up. It was awesome! 

I am planning on a gym trip today. I want to get in another weight training workout and try the Zumba class.

I haven't been back to my bellydance class since I hurt my knee(I meant to go last Sat but never made it.) So anyway I have class on Saturday plus it is a special day. There will be drum and dance workshops after class and a performance/party(hafla) after the workshops. So I will get in lots of dancing tomorrow.

I have some organizing(clothes sorting), laundry etc and I have to put together a presentation for my fall classes today ! I went out looking at headset mics and portable music systems for my fall classes. I have to decide exactly what to get before fall. I have been looking online too but think I am going to get my system from a local karaoke store. They have an awesome selection of mics and amps,allinone systems etc. Awesome store!That's what I meant by my title desicions,decisions!

Good News :D

Well the good news is I am down to 206. I only lost 1.8 lbs from last week but the first week it was 2.2 lbs so at least it is averaging 2 lbs a week !

I tell you I know this weight that I put back on is starting to come off again. That's the plus. The downside is it takes so much more effort to take it back off than it did to put on. It was easy to slip back into my old eating patterns but so easy to be disciplined again. With that said......I am glad I lost this past week. Because I was not as disciplined on some days as I was the week before. I know this!  And instead of 2.2 lbs in a week I only lost 1.8 lbs

I know this seems miniscule but it reminds me that when I was more consistent on my efforts it payed off better. So this is my new week goal. I will eat better this week than I did last week. It makes a difference.I will make this happen.

Yipee! Another on track day :D

I am happy to report I had an on track day yesterday. I am thankful for each day I control my appetite. Fitness is easy for me but eating is hard for me to control. I didn't eat exaclty clean but I did eat controlled. That makes a huge difference. It was an accident! My co worker accidently threw a turkey rueben on the grill(the real order was for a turkey club wrap) OOPS!  Anyway I hadn't had a turkey rueben in a long time and I was planning to make my self a turkey sandwhich for lunch(No cheese and not grilled) but oh well. It was tatsy and I didn't put fries on my plate.

The end result of the day was I still burned more cals than I took in ! That's what I need to be doing. Burning more than I take in.

Today has been going fine so far. I only ate half of my egg white veggie omelette and half of my potatoes. Portion control YES!!!!

I am planning on the gym for about 2.5 hours today. Some weight training on the circuit, a step class and a Piyo class. then after I have been good i get to go out to see my son play!  I am trying to get a friend of mine to come out with me.I haven't seen her since August. It would be fun to visit and enjoy the music.

Ok I did another 15 min TT workout  and had a HC frozen meal for lunch afterwards.

Same warm up set as earlier in the day x2

Superset 1       A) rear delt raise seated on ball (15 lb dumbells) 8 reps

                          B) Stability ball leg curl( 12 reps)           3 sets A&B

Superset 2      A)DB split squat (8 reps ech leg) 20 lb db

                          B) DB chest press(15 lb db in each hand)On ball   1 set A&B

Superset 3      A)Kneeling elevated pushup(8 reps)

                           B) side plank(30 seconds each side)      3 sets of A&B

Torso training    A)Y squat (12 reps)

                             B) ab curl up 20reps                    3 sets of A&B

                           A) mountain climber(20 reps)

                          B) Bird dog (5 reps)                            3 sets A&B

TT training

Good morning

I did about 15 min of training this morning before breakfast. I read somewhere that the first thing you should put into your body in the morning is a glass of water. I had 1L of water this morning with my Turbulence Training workout.

It was only 15 minutes but I still got sweatty

Here is what I did this morning:

Warm up cicuit  10 prisoner squats 6 push ups 6 prisoner lunges(each side) I did that 2X

TT uses non-competing supersets. Super set 1 was A)step-ups,B)kneeling pushups 8 reps  x 3 sets  I used 20lb dumbells(the largest I have at home)

Super set 2  A)  DB row  B)1 leg hip extensions I again used the 20lb  10 repsX2 sets

Superset 3 A) Plank with arms on ball(30 seconds)  B) Hip extension on the ball (12 reps)        x 3 sets

 

That was it short and sweet. But I did sweat! I am going to do one more TT workout in the afternoon. I have to work at the restaurant today at 4. So I will aim to get that in about 2.

I didn't get to the gym as much as I wanted to ladt week. But I did get in 3 weight training workouts and I ate well all week except for Sunday. It was a TRUE FREE DAY! I am ready to get back to awesome eating this mornng I had fresh fruit,an eggwhite veggie omelette and a few redskin potatoes. And more water(2- 16 oz)glasses. I always drink water when I work at the restaurant so I know I will do awesome at my water intake today.

It is hard to make it to the gym on days I work that's why I did a quick TT workout at home. I am going to the gym Tuesday,Thursday, Friday. I haven't been to my weekly dance lessons since I hurt my knee but will go back this Saturday. Besides my normal lessons there will be additional workshops,too! So I will get in lots of dancing and drumming on Saturday.

Friday!

Well all in all this has been a great week on eating and exercise.

I am a little dissappointed in myself for not working out like I had planned yesterday. BUT I must forgive myself and move on.

This has been my best week in a long time. My weigh in scedule is kinda weird but right now in my life it's what will work for me.

Both of the contining education workshops I had planned on going to this weekend cancelled due to lack of enrollment. I was slightly dissappointed but the cool thing about it is I asked for the weekend off  work for the workshops. That means instead of working a double shift on Sunday I get to spend all day with dh. It feels like it has been forever since we saw each other or talked etc I have been missing him  I am so looking forward to spending the day with him!   Maybe I can even get my pictures for BFL! That would be sweet.Either way I am recommited to this weight loss!

I have rearranged my scedule at the restaurant. I had been only working Sundays because of my fitness teaching scedule but now I am not teaching so I can work other days at the restaurant. So I am going to work Mon,Wed and only 1 shift not a double on Sundays. 

When school is out I will switch to working days again. I can't wait
