It's been a while!

I know, I know!  I haven't been blogging much lately!

 

I have come to the conclusion that I just cannot get 7 to 8 hours of sleep 12 days in a row. I have failed at basecamp yet again. I just can't sleep some nights.So now what? I don't mean to be skeptic but I feel like I would be in basecamp forever. GRRR!

A new plan. I will try basecamp again someday. But in the mean time I have to come up with something different. I haven't been working out since I quit my fitness job. I was just driving way too far (barely making any money after gas). I have done some basecamp training basic exercise. Squats, pushups, and crunches. But no hard core training for quite some time. With that said. Basecamp is all about recharging your body before going into a transformation session. I feel my muscles are fresh(so to speak).

 

I did a free trial membership at a gym  back in May. I really enjoyed the gym. And since I have not worked out since then I am just maintaining my current weight. I just got a 3 month special offer for that gym in the mail. I am going to join for 3 months to get myself back into the habit of working out on a regular basis. I loved their group fitness classes and the weight equipment. The machines were awesome. I miss  the leg press machine.

 

I have to do something! That's the plan :)

 

I am a little dissappointed in myself for being a basecamp drop out but I have given my body rest from strenuous workouts and I am very excited to get back into working out.  I want to start tomorrow.

I have been busy. Yesterday was my daughter's 21 birthday. I didn't eat cake but I did indulge in pizza. But I ate good earlier in the day. Fresh fruit, egg white veggie omelette, baked salmon, veggies and a small sweet potatoe, etc. Yummy nutrient rich stuff. I'll be ok.

I have missed going to a gym so omorrow will be awesome :)

Base Camp Begins!

Hey there :)

I did weigh in on Friday morning. I am up 2 lbs from last weigh in but that was over a month ago. I am still under 200. That's a plus !  But with that said I am officially beginning basecamp today. I had an on track breakfast. Egg white omelette (NO CHEESE) and a bowl of fresh fruit.And a quart of water. That was great. I haven't eaten lunch yet but am getting hungry. I am going to finish my post and then do my basecamp workout, then I will get lunch .

 

I still have the hardest time doing my workout first thing. I have more energy in the early afternoon. But that's something I want to work on. Getting into the ritual of doing my workout early before breakfast.

I have alot of things to take care of today and I have to work tonight. I am taking in yams and brown rice for my carb options while I am at work. I will eat baked fish and veggies and for snacks I will snack on celery sticks and green and red pepper strips.

Oops! No weigh in!

Well I meant to weigh in this morning but ended up rushing off to work instead.

I got a call from the boss asking if I could come in to help get out some caterings on time. My bosses call woke me up. So I just rushed off to work instead of weighing in. I only worked about an hour but  I have to go back to work night shift at 4.

 

I will try to do my weigh in in the morning.

Feel like singing :)

 Some days you gotta dance ! Some days you gotta sing! Or both. Anyone familiar with the Dixie Chick's song? I have it on karaoke. I actually have quite a collection of karaoke music. My niece came over on my birthday and we sang karaoke after we got back from dinner and she was surprised at how much I had. It was a hobby at one time. I bought a karaoke machine and head set mic for my classes. Which I hope to launch in the fall. So I am rediscovering all the karaoke discs I have.

I still have to learn more about my vocopro. I want to be comfortable with using the mic when I do classes. I'll get there just need to practice.

 

I love to sing. I should be taking care of more of my organization projects but I feel like singing........

 

Sometimes I just seems like I have so much going on even when I am not working. It's so hard to make time for everything. I do need to accomplish a lot on my home organization (will make life so much easier)    

OOOOH! I didn't update on weight related issues. I haven't stepped on the scale yet. Promise I will tomorrow morning. I get tired of counting calories all the time (even though daily plate makes it easy) So without tracking cals I would have to guess I have been doing ok. I have been eating pretty good. Last night I made a pasta salad. I used whole grain pasta. I was a little disappointed that I was out of mayo and just ran to dollar general(it was closer than the grocery store). They only had full fat mayo. I like to use reduced fat for my salads. I don't like the fat free ones, they seem so tasteless.   Anyway, I have been doing ok eating but I haven't been officially exercising. I did some major garden work(pulling baby trees from around my garden, weeding ) I don't sit much unless I am on the computer. That's just me even if I am not exercising, I am not a couch potatoe.

It's been a while!

Hey there :)

 

I know it's been forever since I posted. I have been trying to accomplish a lot of organization at home so I haven't been on the computer much.

 

I had a great holiday. I haven't weighed in in  a long time either. I have been feeling like I have not been to on track lately. I still haven't started my basecamp. I was supposed to start last monday but didn't and this monday well I already had cheese in my egg white omelette this morning. I am supposed to lay of dairy for 12 days. Cheese is my downfall. I can take or leave milk and yogurt but cheese is a different story.

 

I am working this afternoon 4 until close......which is probably 11:00 pm. I have the hardest time sleeping after work. I may hop on the computer after work to try and catch up with everyone.

I want to make myself do my 12 day basecamp starting next monday.

I still have a lot of projects to accomplish around the house. So I will be busy even if I am not at work.

I am going to try and do at least a small post everyday this week though.

One Year ago........

..........I was 39  and had the goal of being in the best shape of my life by my 40th birthday.   Well I didn't make it to my goal. But I am still 20 lbs lighter than my last birthday. That is a major accomplishment. I am very happy to say that.

 

So now that I am 40. Now what?????

I am still going to get in great shape. It just took longer than planned. I won't give up.

I am planning to start basecamp on Monday. And my transformation 2 weeks after that. I will transform my body .  I just took a little longer that's all !

 

Have been hvaing a beautiful birthday so far :)

My nephew called me at 12:01 to wish me a happy birthday. I was not quite asleep yet. (I am night owl) He said he wanted to be the first to wish me a happy birthday. Cute.

My dh sent me a text message at 6:30 this morning. My mom called, my sister called. And the funniest of all my son called my cellphone(it was right next to me just didn't hear it) but because he didn't get me he sang happy b-day on the message ! I called him back and said that was cool because if I would have actually answered he probably wouldn't have sang to me. 

I eat out a lot. Today when I went to eat at a local restaurant/coffee shop my coffee mug said happy birthday on it. I told the waitress" What's the odds of that happeneing?"

No Wiegh In......

I had a very blah day today just didn't feel like it.

 

On the plus side I did eat in a controlled manner.

I thank God for this beautiful day. Even if I woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

New pics :)

I posted some new pics in album 2.

I was supposed to got to Dayton for a 3 day fitness workshop but it canceled due to lack of enrollment. I had already started to pack and was planning on the trip. I am very impulsive so......... I decided to go to Indianapolis instead to visit my dh who is working down there on the new colts stadium.

We had a blast. It was wonderful to have a few extra days with dh.

I only downloaded a few of the pictures(it's so time consuming) but I have quite a few more. I should have taken the camera when we went to the art fair. I left it locked in the van. There were a lot of beautiful things at the art fair. I didn't have my dh take any of me. I will soon though. I need to post a current pic. I don't have any right now. I got a new digital camera in May so it makes it easy.

I do my weigh ins on Thursday mornings now.......so I will WI tommorrow morning.........BUT I am scared. I ate absolutely terrible on my vacation. I did get in a workout at the hotel( I hit it hard, My delts are still sore) and I went swimming a few times and did a bit of waliking around when we went to the art fair....... So I will weigh in but am not thinking it will be pretty.

I am not to worried about it though, I am back on track ! I will keep right on going!

I have to work today so I have to run. Just checking in to let ya's know I am doing great but have been busy.               Shawn

Haven't been posting much in June

I have been busy though.

My goal back in April was to be at 198 today. Energy motivated because  I have a workshop this weekend. The good news is......... I was 197.2 this morning

 

YES!!!!!!   I actually made my goal  and even a .8 more. That is so cool!

I will be busy packing for my weekend. My oldest son couldn't keep an eye on his siblings while I was in Dayton so I just decided to take all my children with me. A 3 day family vacation. I am excited about it! The children are too! I have a lot to take care of today. Shopping for childrens snacks while I am at workshop. Etc. I made a list of stuff to do.

I was excited about exceeding my goal for todays weigh in! Just had to post it!  I got to get back to preparing for the trip though.

I don't have a whole lot to say today. I have to work tonight.

I have been doing well, eating good for the most part. I haven't been getting a lot of exercise since my free trial gym membership expired. I did get in some dancing and some ab work through the week last week.

I will be working hard this weekend at my teacher training. I will get in multiple hoursof fitness in 3 days. I have some closet cleaning to do before I pack.  I am looking forward to this weekend !

I have some errands to run today so I will be busy.
