what goes on does eventually come off
Why is it that it is so easy to put on weight but so difficult to get rid of it? I put on 4 kg over 2 weeks at Christmas time - and over the whole month of January I haven't managed to lose all those 4 kg. It really makes no sense - surely if I can put on 4 kg in 2 weeks I should be able to lose 4 kg in 2 weeks - if only !

I have a wedding to go to on 10 April and I want to have lost at least 5 kg by then if not more. Good to have a goal!

Run run run as fast as you can..
I am really getting into running. Pete bought me the adidas micoach thing & it really has made a huge difference. In the past I used to hate running - but now I realise I was running to fast & so that is why I the running never lasted for more than a week.
The micoach really helps me because I run much slower with it & then I actually really enjoy it. And it is my time to myself - it is so nice to have that time just for me. No kids, husband, work, pets, friends, family wanting anything from me! Really is great. Even though the longest run I have done has been 25 minutes (about 2.5km!)! So no Bruce Fordyce

And had to miss my run today because Pete ran then wasn't really time for me to run as well - and I really did miss it! Can't wait to run tomorrow.

At the start
Almost 3 years after having my last child I am still being asked if I am pregnant! Going into the shop to buy skittles for my niece & being asked by the shop assistant if skittles is one of my cravings. Being a bit confused until I realised he thought that I was pregnant - this was 3 weeks ago.

Then coming back from holiday and no longer being able to fit into my fat clothes. Clothes that were only meant to be temporary after I had my last child - but nearly 3 years later I am still wearing them. And now they are to small for me - so I have had to start wearing my hubby's clothes. Terrible.

I am tired of feeling like this - of feeling fat, feeling hideous & ugly, having nothing to wear. So this is the year that I become a stick insect. This is my year.

My plan is to: 1. exercise every day for at least 20 minutes; 2. train to run the Knysna half marathon on 10 July - all that running has go to help out; 3. Stick to the Hungarian take away calorie controlled meals; 4. Cold turkey on the sugar; 5. Cut right down - waaaay down on the alcohol - 1 glass wine per day (gulp!) with lots of ice; 6. watch out for weekends; 7. watch portion sizes.
Good luck to me!
