what a great day

Today has been an awesome day. I got up this morning and straight to the gym I went. Had an awesome workout and then had the best food imaginable today. Hope you all had a great day as well.

GOALS FOR THE WEEK!!!

So I started the Body for Life Program and I think that it is great. i started out blogging every day about what I was eating and what exercise I did for the day, but that is so not in my time budget. Instead I decided to post my weekly goals. If anyone does have questions about what I am eating please feel free to contact me.

Goals for the week:

Lose 2 pounds

Go to bed 15 minutes early every night

Use my new food steamer every day (IT IS AWESOME!!!)

Stick to my planned meals and planned fitness everyday this week

 

Well, there it is. Nothing too special, but definately necessary. Hope to talk to you all soon.

 

DAY 3 BODY FOR LIFE!!!

TODAY IS DAY 3 AND I JUST FINISHED EATING DINNER.

Exercise:

Today was the lower body and abs. My abs are killing me right now. Definately feel the burn.

Diet:

Breakfast:    4 egg whites and 1 whole egg scrambled, 2 slice wheat toast.

Snack:   protein shake

Lunch:     Chicken breast, sweet potato, mixed veg

Snack: Protein shake

Dinner:    Ham, Broccoli, Sweet potato

Snack:   protein shake

A little inspiration "IT'S ALL ABOUT PERSPECTIVE!!"

It's funny how we can be so down on ourselves for what ever reason, whether it be our weight, our youth, our jobs, our relationships, or even our financial situations. No matter what we nit pick ourselves about on a daily basis, no matter how much we dwell on the fact that we may be 25 lbs over weight, there is always someone out there in the world that is worse off then us. And you will always be the object of someone elses envy. I know that it is really hard to even begin to think that "someone could envy me??" But it's true. I might be 35 lbs over weight, but I want badly to be like the girl that is 10 lbs overweight and that girl wants to look like the girl down the street or on the magazine covers that doesn't have an ounce of fat on her. We are a weird society of beings that will never be happy with every little aspect of our lives, but it is nice and sad to know that there will always be someone lurking around the corner wishing that they had your thighs.

Keep up the good work people!!! We can all make it happen.

DAY 2 OF BODY FOR LIFE "Getting Results already"

DAY 2..............YEAH!!!!!

Exercise:

Felling good today!! Woke up, walked the dog, and away I went to the gym!! Today was my cardio day and holly crap was it intense. Body for Life recommends a 20 minute cardio day. I was on the elliptical today and by the 7th minute I was sweating like a whore in church and by the 18th minute I literally had to talk my way through the last 2 minutes, which is great. I guess you could say that I am the type of person that likes a challange and that's exactly what I got.

Diet:

Breakfast: 4 egg whites scrambled, 1 tbl. salsa, 1 tbl. sour cream, in a wrap.

Snack:  Strawberry banana protein shake

Lunch:  Sliced chicken cooked in chicken broth with mix veg.

Snack: protein shake

Dinner:  Sliced ham, sweet potato, broccoli

Snack:  protein shake

DAY 1........YEAH!!!

EXERCISE

So I woke up today excited and ready to go to the gym on an empty stomach (the best for losing body fat). I did the Body for Life (BFL) workout that was suggested and OH MY GOD!!!!!! I am so sore from a 45 minuted workout. I never thought I could accomplish that much in so little time. My workouts that used to last for 2 hours didn't feel this good. I guess the old saying is true, "Less is more".

DIET

I planned out my meals for the week yesterday and went grocery shopping to stock up on supplies. I think I did a pretty good job. My diet today is as follows.

Breakfast:     4 egg white, 1 whole egg scrambled, and 2 slices of whole wheat toast.

Snack:     Pure Protein Shake (chocolate)

Lunch:     Shrimp salad wrap with a side of mango

Snack:     Pure Protein Shake (vanilla)

Dinner:    3 oz. Turkey, tbl. of cran sauce melted on top, brown rice, asparagus

TOMORROW IS THE BEGINNING OF A NEW CHALLANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I want to thank everyone that has contacted me about the Body for Life program. It is because of you that I have decided to move forward with the 12 week challange. I read the material and purchased the success journal (an awesome tool by the way) and tomorrow is going to be my first day with this new challange. Everything seems so simple and it looks like it will be easy to stick with. I wanted to let everyone know what my current measurements and weight are as of today (even though I am not too happy about them) so that you might find inspiration in my story.

CURRENT WEIGHT:     164

CHEST - WAIST - HIPS:         41-37-39

I really hope to see a loss of 24 lbs of body fat and my goal is to have measurements of      37-33-35    by the end of the program. I hope that my goal are not set too high.

BODY FOR LIFE

Is there anyone out there that is doing the Bodt for Life 12 week program????? I picked up the success journal last night and I think that I will be starting that program. It is very simple and looks like it would be easy to follow. Please let me know what you think.

On my way

Today is actually my first day back........

Yesterday I woke up on the wrong side of the bed, the puppy was rambunctious, and my boyfriend was vey needy. So needless to say, yesterday wasn't a good day for me to be starting a new program.

Today however, is a good day. I woke up on the right side of the bed, the puppy is stil sleeping, and my boyfriend is gone on a golf trip. Yeah for me. I am opening up the bar right now, but in a few minutes I will be going home to get on my workout clothes, make myself breakfast, and get my butt in the gym. All will be well after I workout, I can feel it. Something special is going to happen to me tody. I am ready to go. TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF MY LIFE.

Relationships

It is funny how we tell ourselves that we can start our diet and exercise program at any time and then tomorrow never comes. This is how it has been for me for the past 5 or so years. I feel terrible about it, because my poor boyfriend has been drug behind the entire way. He has watched me go from hopeful beginings to dreadful endings. I am sure that by now he has learned that I seem to never finish anything, but I do hope that he doesn't quit being supportive. I don't think he would, but men are strange animals.
