Before After

Not changing my outfit!

How I came up with this idea!

I think this is one of the most asked questions.

Well, as many of you know, getting dressed in the morning is a major decision.  In search for the perfect outfit to make you not look so 'fluffy'. I hated it.  Since I have way more 'skinny' clothes than 'fluffy' clothes, it really wasn't fun.  Yes, I could have bought more outfits, but that is just an excuse to 'keep the fluff'.  So one day I was thinking I have to do something to motivate myself.  And so it was, I will not allow myself to wear a different outfit until I lose weight.  No more, "what will I wear today?" , I know what I will be wearing until I get this weight off.  And let me say that when I make a commitment I stick to it.  So far its been over 3 months.  Same outfit EVERYDAY!  Yes, I am sick of it!  But I will continue!  And I will be thin again.  :)

Diet Buddies

Diet Buddies!

I thought this was appropriate since i just talked my neighbor into starting adiet and making a blog here.  "Here ya go Heather".

Rosey and Nina were best of friends and tried to do everything together. Rosey announced that she was going to start a diet to lose some pounds she had put on recently.

"Good," Nina exclaimed. "I'm ready to start a diet too. We can be dieting buddies and help each other out. And when I feel the urge to drive out and get a burger and fries, I'll call you first."

"Great," Rosey replied. "I'll ride with you to Burger King."

Its On.

11 Week Challenge.

Okay, so I think I have set my goal date a little to high.  If I want to get out of these clothes before we go to Disney, I have to lose around 2.7 pounds a week.  Hubby is trying as well although he may not be going.  Of course he only has 5 pounds til his goal weight.

Okay, so I am thinking, how will I even come close to doing this?  I can't decrease my calorie intake since I am still nursing so that only leave one thing.  EXERCISE!!  I have to do it like the biggest losers do it.  I gotta sweat.  It has to burn.  I'm gonna drink more water because.......I don't know, I just need to drink more water.

Last resort:  The week before I will be getting a hair cut (its to my waist), trimming toenails and fingernails and last case a colon cleaning.  LOL

So its on.

Next goal is 162.8 on Thursday March 13th. (set a little higher)

Why can't I drink more water?

Water-is it really all that?

Okay, so I know you are supose to drink 64 oz a day-aren't you?  I've done some searching and read a lot of articles that say that isn't really necessary.  I mean it has to be good for you, but is it more good for you or just better than the other choices you would have made. hmmmm.

My beverage of choice:

I should buy stock in the company.  I drink it all to much.  I really do try to drink water, but I really think they have added something to this stuff.  Its like my drug of choice.

GIVING PROPS TO COCA COLA!

Time For Ab Work!

ABS!

Okay, I've decided it is time to start some ab work.  After 5 children, I am going to really have to focus on this area.  I'm really not sure there is anything I can do about the saggy skin.  I can honestly say I've never really focused on my abs since having kids.  I usually just diet and it does get back to being rather flat.  But I would love to have a little muscle back.

So my goal tonight is to do something-even if it is one sit up.  I'll let you know tomorrow.

Naturally Thin People

Thin People.

Don't we all just love/hate them.  Let me first say that my best friend is just this.  Thin by nature.  Two kids, and just thin.  She hates it that she can't gain weight.  Of course I have a hard time sympathizing with her on this.  Maybe this is why I am so determined to lose some weight.  I also have three sister-in-laws-ALL THIN!  Makes me wonder if I am considered-THE FAT ONE.  LOL

Oh well, they keep us going.  If we were all fat, we would not be healthy.  Happy, but not healthy.  :)

Nothing tastes as good, as being thin feels.  (although pancakes are sounding pretty good about now).

Another look back.

Old stats!

I was looking at an old notebook I had the other day from when I had decided to start a diet.  I am guessing it was from 1995.  I remember thinking I was really in need of losing some weight.  Hubby and I at that time decided to do the LOW FAT diet and we were doing the Cindy Crawford workout tape (man she kills ya), and awesome abs.  Beginning my stats were.

Weight: 144 Bust 36 1/2 Waist: 29 Hips: 39 1/2 Thigh: 22 1/4

And when I finished I was:

Weight: 128 Bust: 35 1/2 Waist: 26 Hips: 37 Thigh: 21 1/2

I made a calendar for hubby with me posed by a different Corvette every month.  This was July.  This was before I had children and will never look this way again after 5 children (including a set of twins), and age of course.  I'm glad I did the calender.  Its neat to look back.  Of course my kids are worth every stretch mark and saggy skin.

Pictures are in next post!  For some reason they won't post in this one.  Scroll down.

Something to crave my sweet tooth.

Toasted Peanut Butter/Banana Sandwich

Okay, so this isn't wonderful, but after my top ten list, I feel the need to post something that I eat to crave my sweet tooth.

Take a piece of Whole Wheat Bread (I like to use the Healthy Choice 35 calorie per slice).

Toast it and then cut it in half (in the middle in order to have a full sandwich, not in half).

Put a small layer of peanut butter on and top with about 1/4 of a banana sliced very thin.

I then usually press in the old George Forman and have myself a wonderful little snack.  Less than 100 calories.

It's no tall stack of Pancakes with warm maple syrup, but it works. ;)

Top 10 things I really miss!

Top ten things I miss!

10.  Big Mac/Double Quarter Pounder w/cheese. I can honestly say I have never had a Double Quarter Pounder, but it sure does sound good.

9.  Biscuits at Red Lobster-  You know the ones.  The ones they bring to your table fresh and warm.

8.  2 piece fish and more (add a fish) from Long John Silvers.  Gotta love LJS.

7.  Funnel Cake/Elephant Ears-  Only the ones from the fairs.  I know who makes the good ones.

6.  Pancakes.  I love pancakes and have not had any since I started this diet.  HOLY COW, I had no idea they had that many calories.  Let me recommend the Cheesecake Pancakes from IHOP.

5.  Bloomin Onion from Outback Steakhouse.  These people know how to make a Bloomin Onion.  OMG  they are wonderful.  They are also worthy of mentioning their Ceaser Salad and Cheesey Fries.

4. Pizza-My personal favorite is Pizza Hut pan pizza (supreme) with a close second being Monicals thin pizza (with their sweet and tangy French Dressing to dip in).

3. Authentic Mexican Meal-Our favorite place around here is Los Tres Caminos or El Rancherito.  I'm talking that chips, salsa, cheese dip-I LOVE IT ALL.

2. Chocolate Dessert-I have no idea what it is called, but my aunt Darletta makes it and I LOOOVE IT!  Lets just say it has chocolate pudding, whip cream, nuts and some wonderful crust.

1.  My mothers PIES! -My mom makes the best pies ever.  I mean the woman could make a fortune selling these things.  She makes the crust and everything from scratch.  My personal favorite is chocolate, but other favorites would be coconut, peach, apple and cherry.

Others that were close to making the list were:

Donuts, cake, those Lofthouse cookies from Walmart (the real soft and delicious ones with the icing)and ice cream.
