Before After

I really like this song called sadness for some reason!

Sadness!

I like walking on the treadmill to it.  You'd think I would like a more up beat song.

Walking backwards on treadmill!

Seen this on the Biggest Loser and decided to try it.  I see why they go slow.  Trying to increase the speed while walking backwards should be held to the more graceful.

TRY IT!

The upcoming Holiday!

EASTER!

So, this is the thought I am keeping in my mind for Monday.

I have been trying to decide how to handle this Holiday that is approaching.  In previous years I have always said that I would 'just have a little'.  Did it work?  NEVER!  Its like I think the stuff will never be around again.  Its like the fact that it is shaped like an egg or a bunny makes it taste better.  I mean come on, I can walk 2 blocks and get a candy bar anytime I want.  So why can't I control myself Easter morning.  Maybe its just all those little hands digging in their baskets and  unwrapping all that candy, eating it, thinking "No one makes chocolate like the Easter Bunny".  The chocolate on their little hands, face and in their teeth.  The smell of sweet chocolate.

Okay, so I have decided that this year I will not allow myself any.  Not one chocolate egg, not even the corner of an ear.  I will be good. And when I awake on Monday morning and get on the scales, I will not cry.  :)

Treats I like!

Yummy Treats!

I think not doing a specific diet like low carb/low fat, has really helped me get through this a lot easier.  Just making healthy choices and counting calories.  There are still a few things I like to have as a treat that I thought were worth mentioning.

I really like the new 100 calorie packs that Walmart has.  They are not really low cal, but more of a portion control.  I really like the little cookie bites.  I open one after breakfast and just have one piece every so often.  If you have will power it works.  Just something to take the edge off and help keep your metabolism going throughout the day.

Another treat that I sometimes have is the Russell Stover Sugar Free Candies.  They have turtles, toffee squares, coconut candies, etc.  They are about 60 cal for one, but they are good.  I only have one - again, will power has to come into play.  Be careful though, they can cause a laxative effect.  Which I guess could be good for the scales some days.  I call it clean out candy.

St Patrick Day

St Patty Day!

Well, I made it through the day without cheating. YEAH ME!! Here are some photos.  And one of me in my outfit as well.  Its really getting baggy.

Back from Dr!

Everything seems fine.  My bff made me realize right before I went that the bruising (which was mainly on my right leg), was probably from carrying Kia in the car seat and her bumping my leg.  This so has to be it.  She is almost 23 pounds and getting impossible to carry.

I went anyway and doc did do blood work, but was not concerned at all.  Sounds like the nursing really helps with weight lose though.  Dang, when I am done nursing I think I'll get the ole breast pump out and put it to use.   LOL

Anyway, all sounds well, Doc said I seem like a very motivated person.  Blood work will be back soon.

Off to the Dr today.

Check-Up!

Okay, so I was debating about posting this, but I scheduled a check-up today.  I have lost 35 pounds in 2 months.  This is a lot of weight in a short time, but I will say I have gave this 110%.  Eating very healthy and exercising (some times more than others).  The only thing that really concerned me was that I had a lot of bruising awhile back.  My legs looked like I had been in a car crash.  When I say a lot I mean a lot.  I had started walking like a made woman on the treadmill and wasn't sure if that could of had something to do with it.  I waited awhile and they went away.  Well, they are coming back, but not as bad.  I am wondering if maybe my iron is low, although I do take a multi-vitamin everyday.  Then again, I am still nursing, so Kia may just be taking a lot of my vitamins.  Bottom line is, I thought it wouldn't hurt to go see the ole doc.  I feel great though.  Other thing is, I don't think I will mind getting on the doctor scales as much.  :)

Just givin props to myself!

150's

I forgot to announce!  I am officially in the 150's.  It has been a long time since I have seen the 150's.  Yes, I am barely there (159.8), but it counts - right?  Whoot Whoot

It has officially started.

March would you just end already!

Well, it will be starting tomorrow.  St Patricks Day!  We always have a little St.Patricks day supper.  Tomorrow will be pigs in the blanket with green mac and cheese and green beans.  Shamrock shakes from McDonalds and green cookies.  The boys love our anual celebration.

Tuesday I have been asked to go to school for Career Day and make candles for the first grade class.  Sure I could have picked Lilac, or something real flowery, but no.  I have decided to make Oatmeal Raisin Cookie scented candles (one of my personal favorites) and since you can just smell the brown sugar, cinnamon goodness, I had a feeling the class would be hungry so I am bringing Chocolate Chip Cookies to hand out afterwards.  I will not be making these, I have ordered them from our town baker (Darcie).    I can blame no one but myself.

I did buy some Russel Stover Sugar Free candies.  When times get real bad I allow myself one a day.  The turtles and toffee squares are wonderful.  I can make it.

I am feeling good about this.

Still a long way to go!

I can not believe I am down 35 pounds. We decided to go to church this morning.  Its a church we really feel feed at (if that makes sence).  It was hard to see everyone all dressed up and me get into the 'same outfit'.   I think dh thinks I should make exceptions, but that wouldn't be right. Easter will be hard.

Anyhow, the sun is shining, I weigh less. :)

Mom is down 150 and Todd is down 170.  YEAH!!  And gotta give props to Heather!

Oh, I updated my before/during pics.
