Boy oh boy things are really starting to get exciting. I jumped right into the 130's. YEAH!! Oh my gosh girls, I am so close. I am about out of this outfit. I have about lost 60 pounds! It is really surreal. I set my goal really high and I am about there. I thought about seting it at 145, but I decided in the beginning I would set it where I really wanted to be.
I've been really busy this past week and I am sure I will be even busier these next few weeks til we leave for Disney. All four boys are in baseball this Summer and that has us so busy. There are times we have three games in one evening all in three different towns. WOW! Use to, I would just grab something on the run and it would not always be a healthy choice. Since this diet, I just make sure I grab a healthy choice, or I don't grab it. If it must be something unhealthy, it is a 100 calorie pack goodie.
Like I said, I am the guest speaker for a Mother/Daughter banquet on the 6th of May and I wish I would be able to wear something nice. Believe it or not, if I am not at my goal weight, I will honestly wear this outfit. Wish me luck.
Hope you all are doing great. Shorts and swimsuits are just around the corner.
I awoke this morning to a big weight lose. YEAH! It was a nice surprise. I didn't eat as much yesterday. I was just to busy. I ate a lighter breakfast because I so wanted a Peanut Butter Sandwich for lunch. Then, I had to take one of the twins to the doctor and then we headed for Walmart, so by the time I got my PB sandwich it was around 2:30. Then I wasn't super hungry for supper, so I just had a small pork chop and corn on the cob. Think my calories were pretty low for the day.
Anyhow, I am trying to add more exercise these next few days/weeks and see if I can get these last few pounds off. I decided to push mow the yard today. Mind you our yard is over an acre. Told hubby I was gonna try to walk the weight off. I didn't do it all, but I did a lot. Hubby mowed after me anyway, cause I didn't have it low enough. Let me say that push mowing kicks butt. Hopefully tomorrow the scales don't creep back up. Well see.
I can finally say I have lost over 50 pounds! OMG to me that sounds like an accomplishment. Of course, this will not be near as exciting as when I lose these last 9.6 pounds.
Heres the questions girls. What shall I do when I lose the last pounds. I mean I don't want to just put on an outfit and say,"Well, here I am I made it". Gosh, what will be the first outfit I pick to wear? I mean come on, I will have been in this same outfit for almost 6 months when it happens. Wouldn't it be great if I could lose it before our anniversary? I think that is pushing it though. (May 4th). Still, I need a plan, an oufit. hmmmm its getting so close. Maybe I could ask DH to lunch and already be there sporting my new clothes. Come on girls, any ideas?
Many of you have asked what I eat throughout the day. Well, I pretty well have the same things, but I really do like what I have. Sometimes I look for things at the end of the day to help get my calorie count up a little more. I am not saying this is well balanced or anything, it is just what I have and better than what I use to have. :) Plus it seems like I am always eating.

Okay, so I hope that gives you an idea. I have pretty well lost 50 pounds in 3 months. But I will honestly say I DO NOT CHEAT! I mean hardly ever. I think in three months I have cheated 2 times. Once with a big mexican meal and when my mom made homemade cherry pie. Other than that-NEVER!
Well, the first day at the mall went great. There is a little sandwich shop there and I asked them to make me a grilled chicken sandwich on wheat. I asked for one piece of wheat and I brought a knife and cut it completely in half to make it two pieces (if you understand that). Anyhow, it had lettuce, onion, tomato and ketchup on it and it was yummy. I also had my 100 calorie snack pack and some fruit. What made it so easy was that mom and I "WENT SHOPPING". Mom and dad have came to help me with my booth (they actually want to see Kia-I think). Well, when dad got there, mom and I went shopping. Remember, I have been in this outfit for 131 days today. Trying on clothes was needless to say fun. So much that I came home with 3 bags of clothes. Bad thing is, three bags I won't be wearing until I lose 10.8 more pounds. Did you catch that? Ilost some more and once I lose .8 more I will have lost a total of 50pounds. OH YEAH OH YEAH!!
One more thing. Many of you have asked me tp post what i eat throughout the day and I will do that on Monday when I have more time. Off to the mall. Thinking I will leave and get Subway today as my little grilled chicken sandwich was good, but it also cost $4.74 (and that was on one piece on wheat).
I'm gonna be surrounded by the smell of food! Bad Food!
Okay, so the title says it all. I have a show this weekend at the mall and I will be there open to close Fri-Sun. Although this mall is small, they have a killer Chinese Buffet that just expanded. OMG, I have not had Chinese all year. The Generals Chicken, Chicken Terriki on a stick thing, Crab Ragoon, Egg Rolls, Peanut Butter Chicken, Noodles. I always do bad when I go to the mall. The smell just draws me in. I mean I can pack a sandwich like I normal would have at home, but come on, it would have to be in a cooler all day. There isn't really anything I can have there that would be what I call a healthy choice. Lets see right out the door is Taco Bell and a real authentic Mexican Restaurant that is WONDERFUL.
Okay, so I made it through March and all the birthdays and Easter, I can do this-right? I have been having a nice baked potato at night, I could take my crock-pot and slow cook a potato all day and smell it and just have my toppings there in a cooler. I so seriously have to plan something. My mom may be there with me for awhile, maybe I will have to do a Subway run.
BTW-I went up .2 in weight. Again, I am okay with this as I have had some AWESOME weight lose lately. Thinking I will be down some tomorrow though. Can't wait to reach the 50 pounds lost mark. That seems like so much. Then I will only have single digits until I reach my goal. YEAH!!!
Oh and add fishing to the list of things I have done in my outfit. :)
Wow, I really must have scared 150. I mean he didn't even put up a fight. I figured we'd be up for round two this morning, but the scales showed149.0 (lost .8). I am ahead of schedule and if I stay on track, I should have no trouble being out of this outfit by Disney.
While getting dressed this morning hubby said he wasn't sure I had another 14 pounds to lose. I must say I am thinking 135 may be a little to thin for a person of my height (I'm 5'9). I've been less, but than again, I am getting older. With that being said, I still will not change this outfit until I reach 135. At that point, I will evaluate how I look and may decide I look better a little heavier. I can't believe I said that. I also think sometimes we just get where we forget what we looked like thin and it is just kind of foreign. I'm just use to seeing myself fluffy.
I am going to try and blog some goals today. I need to tone up. I need to get my butt to lift and my stomach to tighten up. I am okay with my arms, but could work on them as I don't want to get the flappies that seem to come with age. So, I'll be back later to post some new goals. I need to take pictures because I think it makes things more interesting.
I am going to have to start a list of the number of people who have officially started this diet. Hopefully we will all get a blog going. Here is the first that has started to blog with me.
Although we have never met, it is so cool that she is in CA doing this same diet. AWESOME!
So why does this diet work?
#1: I believe that it only works if you are a person of your word. I mean this is quite a commitment. By wearing the sign on your back not only lets people know you aren't dirty (maybe we should add in fine print-'yes we wash it'). It also tells your commitment and holds you accountable. Its like telling yourself if you stop your diet/lifestyle change, you will be stuck in your outfit forever. Yes, you could change it, (its not glued on), but thats where 'your word' and accountability comes in.
#2: It is best to purchase an outfit that is somewhat tight. It is encouraging to see your outfit get bigger and bigger.
#3: You will honestly have less laundry. This is a plus.
#4: You will spend less time getting ready in the morning. You have just taken out the decision making of "What will I wear today?"
#5: By wearing the sign on your back lets people know what you are doing and you will be amazed at your support group. I just went to the grocery store today and someone said to me "I heard about you doing this diet, but this is the first time I had seen you. How much have you lost?" Then it was followed by, "I'm seriously thinking about trying this".
#6: You will save money. You will not have to purchase 'in between clothes'. You know, how we all get excited when we lose a few pounds and go shopping for our new wardrobe. Which also makes it easier to slack on our diet before we reach our goal. I mean come on, these new clothes look pretty good on ya. Well, this can't happen until you reach your goal, thus eliminating those shopping trips and making you try that much harder.
So there you have it. Those are the top reasons I can say that it works.
I've been in my outfit 123 days currently and I can't say that I hate it. I picked it out knowing that I would be in it for a long time. But I love how people keep telling me it looks like it is falling off of me. I love how one day soon I will been revealing the 'new me'.
Okay, lets just say I was shocked to see the scales say 150.00 this morning. I really thought they may have went up a little. But I was still feeling a little fiesty this morning. 150 wanted to play, so I decided I was up for the challenge. Come on, you all have been there. Ready to move to that next set of numbers. Wanting to see it so bad that (for lack of a better word)you could 'taste' it. Well, my normal thing in the morning is to grab a diet coke to get me kick started. This morning I decided to wait it out. Got the boys ready for school, nursed Kia, got a call from a customer that was picking up an order and was on their way (which by the way I had to gave to her in my pajamas because my outfit was not dry-embarrassing). Needless to say, I killed some time and decided to go toe to toe with the scales again. Guess what? I so kicked 150's butt and said HELLO to 149.8. YES!!!!! YES!!!! Sweet victory!
Now I have a feeling 150 will probably be back for round two tomorrow, but it sure felt good to knock him down just once.
Oh my goodness-I am in the 140's. 140's. What a great day!
