Proud of myself today...

I went to the gym all by myself!  I usually workout with 3 other friends but all 3 of them couldn't make it today so I talked myself into going anyway.  Ran 3 miles on the treadmill then did some upper body and abs on the weight machines.  The last 10-15 minutes on the treadmill sucked.  I had to talk myself through each and every minute.  Listening to music helped.  Wouldn't look at the time until after each song.  Now, if only I could lose weight!?!?!

Doing better...

Working out with my friends 3 days a week for a month now.  The last two times I went I ran 3 miles!!  Add in my 10 minutes of walking also and I'm getting close to 4 miles.  (46 mins total)  I'm pretty proud of myself.  I can tell I upped my exercise because my legs hurt the next day when they hadn't been really bothering me much with just 2 miles.  Woohooo!  I keep forgetting to weigh myself in the am.  Not sure if I want to!  But I will. 

Now to see if I can run 3.1 miles on pavement for the 5k run!!  A little more training yet I think.

 

Geez!!

It's been awhile but not because I fell off the wagon...couldn't remember my password!!!  Had a heck of a time getting it changed!!  Well here I am.  Up a few pounds still from vacation but I'm exercising.  Started up at the gym with some friends this past week.  My running partner at the track was out of town.  I'll  weigh in and do a better update tomorrow.

 

Almost at 2 miles now...

Last night we ran 7 laps, one lap shy of 2 miles.  I was thinking hard about just doing the last lap but it was hard enough to do the 7th lap I didn't want to overdo it.  Felt real good, tho.   My friend is helping to push me along. 

Running going great!

Well, my third time back since vacation.  Last night I felt real good during and after running.  Like I could have done more.  I like that feeling!  At a mile and a half now.  Gonna push that to two miles next week.  

I'm back...

Haven't posted in awhile.  Couldn't remember my  password on vacation...oops!

Well, I gained a few pounds on vacation but I'm back on track now.  Going to do  The Firm  again once a week and I have a good 20  minute pilates video I'll also do once a week along with running.  I KNOW The Firm works because the weight melted off before with it so I'm hopeful it will help me along this time as well.  Just have to wait a bit, had to order the firm fanny lifter since I don't know what happened to my old one.                         Onward I go! 

Getting better!

I've done 6 laps (1.5 mile) without stopping three times now so I know it wasn't a fluke!  lol  We keep forgetting to time it to see how long it takes us.  Hopefully I'll remember tomorrow.  Weighed in today.  Not sure how off it is since I was weighing in at Weight Watchers.  But now I'll be able to see how much I go down.  Just gotta weigh myself in the same exact spot every time!  Stinkin uneven house!  lol 

Going on a 3 week  vacation on Wednesday so wish me luck that I don't come back with a huge gain!!! 

Goals

  • Short Term -> Lose 10 pounds
  • Long Term  -> Do a 5K by November

Running going great.

Since I started running with my friend I've been able to run farther.  She keeps me at a slower pace so I don't tire so easily.  Working on distance first, then I'll  speed it up.     My shorts I put on today are so snug.  I hate the way I look in them!!  Once I'm running longer I think that's when I'll start to see a change.

Another day...

Didn't run as much tonight but I did my mile.  Was  so hot today that it didn't cool down as much by the time I went.  Running when it's in  the 80's is very different than running in the 60's!! 

I also need to find a perfectly flat spot in my house because my scale tells me different weights I'm guessing because the floor is uneven.  I have a couple more weigh ins at Weight Watchers yet so I'll hopefully figure it out before  too long.

I'm shocked!

The most I could run without stopping was 3 times around the track (¾ mile) but tonight I ran 5 times around without stopping!  Then after a brief walk I ran another lap to make 1.5 miles total.  Woohoo!  My eating has been horrible so I'm relying on my exercise to get me through!  I went with a friend this time and she kept me at a slower pace, I'm sure that had a lot to do with it.       Yay me!
