Surgery Update

I saw my doctor today, and we're moving forward with the surgery. I'm going to see the plastic surgeon who'll do my reconstruction on Thursday, and the surgery will be on--wait for it--July 13th. That's right, FRIDAY THE 13TH. Hilarious.

Honestly, I feel so much better now that the decision has been made and we have a plan. I don't need to obsess about it or freak out about it any more... although I'm sure I'll freak out a little bit as the surgery day gets closer.

So... implants... never thought I'd be getting those. Wow. I can't believe this is my life.

That IS really fast.  But you know what, less time to stress.  And as far as Friday the 13th, that's always been a lucky day in my family.  Here's hoping it will be lucky for you as well!  Good luck!

Obviously you don't live in Canada.  I don't think you could have gotten it done so fast.  Well I guess that will give you only a limited time to think about it right?  Best of luck to you - you're in my thoughts!

That's so soon.  But just think - then the worries will be over.  You won't have to stress about this and you can focus on the positives.  Recovery time will be necessary, of course, but after that you have a wedding to look forward to and continued journeys along this crazy road of weight loss.

But now you've got certainty.  That has to count for something.

that is some crazy news!  but for the month or so that i've "known" you, i've definitely learned that you are one strong woman!  stay strong and stay healthy and you'll come out on the other side standing tall. 

also, it makes me smile that this site has become more than just weight-loss monitoring.  sometimes it just has to be about life!

That you have a fixed date for the surgery. As others were saying, that's less time to stress, which will help you focus on a better recovery. You're going to come through this and be even stronger for having made it so far. My thoughts are with you and good luck today.
