Been a fairly good day. I went to Curves before lunch and even spent extra time on my arms. I've also already walked 1.5 miles.
I've even managed to avoid overeating today, but was tempted a few times. The kids decided to make jello and pudding! I went into the other room and worked on sorting through some boxes. Kids start school on Monday and I need to have their desks and work areas ready. Sadly, their desks have been used as catch-alls for the last few months and we had a dozen boxes stacked up in the way from when we cleared out our storage unit. I made a huge dent in the chaos today. When dh decided tonight that he needed more dessert, I took a walk so I wouldn't be tempted to eat so late.
so, feeling positive overall about today, even though I still haven't figured out any other cardio besides the walking. How was your day? Did you stay on track? Did you enjoy your day off?
Hope you're having a great weekend! Best wishes!

Thanks
Hi there,
Thank you for leaving good wishes for me. I also wish you much luck with your goals. Sounds to me like you are a School Teacher. Hope all goes well on Mon. for you.
Way to go with taking a walk so you wouldn't be tempted to eat so late! Walking is a great way to lose wt. and also to get rid of stress!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! I struggled this past week and am just gonna hit it hard this week.
I had a couple suggestions for cardio, a couple things I have done:
1. A bike trainer, if cost isn't too much an option, you can get a trainer that basically attaches to the back tire of your bike and turns your bike into a stationary work-out bike. It's great because you can stay home and watch all your shows or movies and still work out in the comfort of your home.
2. Rollerblades! I just remembered mine the other day. I love rollerblading. It is much more fun than walking or running and you get your heartrate up with more effort.
3. Do some hard cardio for 5 minutes straight (for our weight a good cardio heart rate zone is 145-158 bpm). If you do that, it will maximize how fast your heart beats even if you're exerting little effort. So do something say right befor eyou go walking and you'll get more results out of your walking.
4. Invest in a heart rate monitor. This was a life saver for me!!! You can really see exactly what your body is doing and if you are getting a good workout. Before I would judge my workouts based on how hard I sweat. Not reliable! heehee!
