Moody Monday

Spent the afternoon with my best guy friend. Seems lately that every time we get together I go through dramatic mood swings. So, for awhile I was laughing and having a great time, then suddenly was fighting back tears and refusing to look him in the eye. Recover and repeat a few times and you'll have a picture of our afternoon.

One moment stands out. We had been driving around to various bookstores looking for a specific diy-style book he wanted. After 3 or 4 failed stops, we were heading for our last stop when we started arguing over something stupid. Trust me, it was really stupid! As I'm pulling into the parking lot, he gets peeved & announces he wants to go home right now. I point out that we're already here, so lets check it out then I'll take him home. He said  no, take him home because he isn't going into the store. I snapped, "fine, stay in the car while I go in." He looked at me like I had just grown a second head! Then he suddenly burst out laughing and asked if I had really just told him to sit in the car like some misbehaving child? Needless to say, we both went in and hey guess what?! They had the book he wanted. Just an example of how moody I've been lately.

Ok, back on track. I dusted off, updated, and reprinted my daily/weekly goal chart. I'm not off to the greatest start today, because I'm behind on my water intake and skipped the gym; but I can mark off a few positives for today and I'll count it as progress. I've tried staying on track without  the chart, but I've found that actually knowing I'm going to have to record it, motivates me more. I'm getting ready to go walking, hoping to get in 4 miles or so.

How about you? Did you get your week started off right? Needing an extra push? I managed to avoid leftover cake and icecream, so I'm feeling positive about that. I've made myself a new rule that I can't eat anything after 8pm. There's been a couple of times that I've been really tempted, but so far I'm holding to it! Another positive! What are your positives today?

 I'm glad to see that you are focusing on the positives, it makes all the difference and don't worry about being moody thats what friends are for. And if you leave laughing thats the main thing. As for my positives Im back to work yay! But have decided that I will spend 1/2 an hour a day doing what I want to do. Be it reading, taking a bath I think if I take that time I will be a happy chappy. Let us now how the no food past 8pm works out.
