Before After

limping along

Hey y'all, how's your summer going? Making the most of it, finding ways to work out while staying cool?

I'm pretty sure I'm going through a bought of mild depression. Found myself slipping back into some old bad habits. At least I'm aware of it, so I'm trying to pep talk myself a little more. Guess that's better than being in denial, right?

I'm going to see my terminally ill father next month so I'm trying to use that as a little extra motivation. He was SO proud of me when he was here last November! I'd like to make  him a little prouder.

I never quit walking, but I went from 5 miles a day down to 1/2 -1 mile. This past week, I started upping the milage again to around 4.5 miles a day. Hoping to hit the gym again a little harder starting next week -no petrol $ this week and it's just a little too far to walk or bike bake and forth. I'm still up about 5 pounds (or more) from the cheesecake binge last month, so ahem.. gotta work that off before I can count any new lose. Ah, we always seem to sabotage ourselves and self-esteem, eh? Oh well, dust it off, get back up, and get moving.

Best wishes!

Good quote

Just a great quote to hopefully help you get through: Nothing tastes as good as thin feels :) Hope it helps anyway.

Looking at your beginning to end, you are doing such a great job to have lost 30 pounds already.  Keep  it up!!

Good For You

You have an amazing spirit and it's GREAT that you've continued to keep moving. I need to move more.  You can do this. You just have to do a re-
set on your program ... but it works and you've proven it.

We all slip up some times. You are SO right, we just have to dust ourselves
off and accept it, accept the consequences (gained weight) and then grab the proverbial bull by the horns and dig in our heels to get what we want.

So you've been hitting the snooze button instead of re-set for a bit ... big deal.
You know where re-set is and how to do it. Five pounds isn't that much to take back to get back on the road to your goal.          Go For It!
