Hi everybody! Have a good thanksgiving? Is there anybody that didn't overeat?? (haven't had time to read any blogs yet, so just asking.) We went south to see the in-laws for the holiday. As much as I hate traveling, I love seeing family. Best part? no leftovers in my fridge to tempt me further. Which is good, because I seem to have developed a slight health issue. I overeat or eat late, my body decides to play rough & give tough love. OUCH. Maybe I could deal with the nausea/vomitting, but the part where it hurts to breathe because my body is too busy spasming, yeah that just sucks. Oh well, one more reason to work on being healthier, right?
I'm finally moved, can't say we're settled in yet, but at least we finally finished moving & cleaning up the old house.
Hope ya'll are surviving this holiday season and having some fun! I'll check up on your blogs the first chance I get. Meantime, what do you like best about this holiday season? Figure I'll ask now, before many of us get overwhelmed by the 'gimmees' & hustle-bustle in all the stores. For me, it's the christmas lights & the wonder on my youngest son's face as he stares in awe. He's autistic & usually lives in his own world, so watching him interact even the smallest bit with his surroundings, that's pretty special. We'll be putting up our own decorations next weekend. Gives me another week to put my house in some semblance of order!
BEST WISHES!

My favorite...
...thing about the holiday season is spending time with my family. The day after Thanksgiving every year, my mom and I put up our Christmas trees. We listen to Christmas music and goof around and it is just so much fun. Plus I get to spend a lot of time with my family because I save up all my time off until the Holiday's. It is very nice. Of course, presents are nice too!
I'm glad you are getting settled into your new house. I know what you're going through because we recently moved. It is crazyness! I wish you the best in your new home!
I love the peace that we feel (if we let ourselves) during the Christmas season. The Peace of knowing we were given the greatest gift of all 2007 years ago. Knowing how much we are loved and the sacrifices that have been made for us.
I totally dislike the COMMERCIAL side of the season. We gave and received such simple gifts in years past, usually something that we made with loving care. Fruit and nuts was a wonderful stocking stuffer.....FUNNY, how things have changed so much. BUT, I don't know that people are as happy during the season now as they were in the years past.
OK, down off the soapbox I come........
Blessings to you for bringing back good memories.....you ask a simple question and I gave volumes for the answer.Chargail
