Before After

Hello, my name is grumpy gus

I HATE moving! I love the pretty new house, don't get me wrong. I just hate the work involved in getting from here to there with all my stuff and sanity intact. I have 2 days to get boxes packed & moved. Two days before family arrives to help move furniture. TWO tiny days before they see all the dust bunnies & filth -oh my!!!! I need to clean too??? LOL

Can't say  I've been doing great on my weight loss progress; then again, can't say I'm doing horrible either. I think I've been maintaining for the past 2 weeks. I've been to the gym a couple of times & I've walked at least a mile a day, but not much more than that. Been eating too much fast food because it's convienent & I'm tired or on the go too much and need something right that moment before I collapse. Saving grace, I've kept cereal/trail mix bars handy in my purse and when I do stop for the fast food, I've avoided fries and greasy burgers, eating chicken instead. Yeah, I know, it's not the best choice, but I figure it is the best of the worst, if you know what I mean?

One good thing about the move, I've found more of my cookbooks  & have promised myself to keep them OUT of boxes and where I can easily see them in the new house. I have all these great diet/weightloss/healthy meals cookbooks and they all ended up scattered at the old house.

Okay, back to packing. Best wishes everybody!

Yuck!

I just went through a move a couple of months ago and you're right: it stinks! But you will be surprised at how quickly you get settled in to your new home, and how quickly things get organized once again. Don't fret to much, it will all be done with before you know it.

Oh, and gold start for making good fast food choices. It can be incredibly difficult but you're doing great!

Hold Up!

You need to give yourself way more props for getting chicken at fast food stops and no fries!  I mean SERIOUSLY...i don't have that kind of control...i think i do then i see the drive thru menu and i am like mmmmmm grease....
So give yourself some major credit there.  I am sure your kitchen is either packed or on its way to that and cooking isn't a real option even if you had time.  Plus with the stress, chaos and constant on the go and moving around you are burning some major calories.  Every box you lift is a little butt and thigh shaper and arm toner.  Think of it that way and maybe the move will be fun! ; )
Good luck...you can get everything packed and ready in time...i have faith in you!

Moving........

It's annoying. I still haven't unpacked all my boxes and I have been where I'm at for 2 years.  But I enjoy the new place :)

Great job! At least you have been doing something :) and have been avoiding the greasy stuff :)            It's all about little changes like that.

Maintaining is better than going backwards :)

cookbooks

I think you're totally right about getting the cookbooks out. Its winter time we should be making low calorie versions of the delicious comfort food that we all love in winter!

Hi

Have you gotten settled in to your new home yet???  Once you check out those recipe books how about sharing some real good, low calorie, low fat recipes.  Just add that to you list of tons of things to get done.LOL.

Blessings to you for sanity.  Chargail
