Trickin' The Treats
Halloween is just a week away. We live on a very secluded street -- only two houses on the whole block and we NEVER get many trick-or-treaters. If we get 12 it is a huge year. Yet, EVERY year, without fail, DH insists on buying a huge bag of halloween candy. Always something yummy, always things I like......well, when we were in the store last night and he was perusing the bags and bags of candy, I just looked at him and said firmly, "I am not eating any of that. Pick out what YOU want." Well, he kept at me, "Don't you like the M&Ms? How about the Kitkats?...." on and on. I just picked up a bag of ugly-looking suckers and told him to buy that. It worked. These suckers may make a kid or two salivate, but they hold no power over me. I can't imagine unwrapping one or even eating one. So......I should be safe from the "tricks" of halloween....also the "treats." Just as long as I don't see any chocolate. LOL
Standing firm. No choice.

WTG!!!
We don't have trick or treaters either but I always buy a bag of non tempting candy just in case. I am proud of you!!
Thank you for your comment on my blog, your encouraging words mean the world to me!

great idea!
Halloween isn't such a big thing in England, we are lucky to get one trick or treater, but we always get something in.
This year I am going to follow your lead and get something I don't like.

Hey there!
Ooo, I caught your Beck reference: no choice.
Im the same way with candy, I just buy stuff I don't like at all. Temptation solved! I think that it was really rude of him to pressure you about the bags of candy. But that's just my 2 cents.
Today Im supposed to put extra food on my plate and not eat it. We'll see how that goes! Bye bye I hope you're doing great.

Those darn bags of candy!
Gobs and gobs of 'em everywhere! Way to go on choosing the sucky suckers! I need to learn that trick! Very smart. My thinking goes more like: I need to buy what I would like so that I'm sure the trick-or-treaters won't leave saying, "Ugh! Did you see what she gave out?!" ha ha...Always wanting to please everybody! But half of it gets eaten before Halloween even gets here! Dumb! Where are you at with the Beck stuff? I think I'm still stuck on Day 15 or something. I haven't been able to keep up with the reading. Maybe if I'd quit worrying about Halloween candy.....;)

Ooops!
I forgot to answer your workout video question. Oh, girl, I have EVERYTHING you can think of! From Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds to Billy Blanks Tae Bo. Videos are my only form of structured exercise, so I have tons so that I never have the *bored* excuse. It's hard for me to recommend any ones specifically because I've liked them all! Do you like basic, easy moves or more dancey stuff? Turbo Jam is a lot of fun. The FIRM is a more serious workout (in my opinion). I'm loving Cathe now because she's kind of a mix of both. I have a blast with her workouts, the music is fun, but she totally kicks my booty!

Hey, good job on convincing your hubby to get the ugly candy! Thanks for your comment!
