Some Good News & Some Bad News...

So... I thought I had everything under control, but I guess not. I am not gaining, but I am not losing either. I do have to admit though, my exercise this week has been less than optimal. I have been having some difficulty with the stepper situation. The one I had bee using was so old. It finally gave in. I found a new one though. I have to get back on track. I know I could do other things, but I like the stepper, because it burns a lot of calories in less time for me and it does really well with my legs. I also think that TOM may be affecting things, but I don't know. Should have been here Sunday for a visit, but it seems the flight was delayed. I don't know. I have also been feeling super tired. Go figure. Anyway, I am hoping that the scale starts moving again.
As for the good new, bad news thing... I went to Lane Bryant last Tuesday just to look around. I really haven't been able to buy anything there for sometime because the shirts are too short, to form fitting, too snug in the waist or hips, or whatever. I was looking around and I found 5 things that I though would be nice. Four of them were clearance priced. I asked to try them on because I don't like to buy things that don't fit. Three of the shirts fit well around my chest and shoulders, but were too snug around my waist and hips. The bad news is they didn't fit. the good news is they fit better than the ones I tried on when I started this weight loss journey. Before it was useless... I don't even know why I would go in that store. The other two both fit, but I wasn't sure if I liked the way one of them looked. So I took a leap and decided to walk out of the dressing room with the shirt I tried on and ask the gal up front. This is something I have never done. I lack the confidence. She said that it fit well and did look good on me. When I did the same with the other shirt, she said she didn't like it as well. Since I agreed with both of her assessments, I put the three shirts that didn't fit and the one that didn't look as good back, but I bought the one that we liked. Yay! I didn't walk out empty handed. I was so happy to see that those clothes were starting to fit better and as I said, Yay! I walked out with something that I liked. I just need to keep this up. With any luck, shopping at Lane Bryant will be a choice rather than something that is forced upon me when I have reached my goal.
Today will be a calm day for me. Hubby works and we will not be attending any BBQs. I am a little bummed. This is one of my favorite holidays. I wish I had something going on. Oh well. I hope everyone else is enjoying their day.
Take care.
