2008 goals
Health Goals,
1- lose 100 pounds.
2-Eat healthy ( for one person), mostly raw and antiinflammatory diet.
3-Get moving , weekly 2 hr sessions and 600 min./week cardio (90min 6 days a week and 60 min once a week )
Blog /weigh in every Sun. ( avoiding the scale will not happen in 2008 -the scale is a friend ..yeah right! :)

small changes go a long way
3 pounds lost today , by taking 1 potato chips if I really wanted to .. but a handful of carrots :) instead of finishing the junkie chips .
doing just 20 mins when i am tempted not to move..hmm
looks like i can really get rid of this extra weight :)

avoiding the scale .. for now lt it be for health

best way i discovered to avoid emotional eating is not get "that "emotional
when stressed .. laugh at a joke .. when worried think of something else and take a deep breath .. distracting my mind from what usually sends me to mindless eating worked this week 99% of the time :)
it feels great .. rising up for cardio made me feel full of energy ..
it has been a great week - did not want to feel discouraged if i did not lose any weight .. so i decided no scale this week
looking forward to this coming week and sticking to healthy choices .. .

off track for a little while
It happens and it is not the end of the world
a little challenge may provide some more motivation
so created a group biggest loser in 5 months
back to focus .. health for life and weight loss is a start !

getting there ..transitional to all raw may work
i have to admit broccoli,cucumber and tomato fresh juice is wonderful start to the day ( with some almonds ) --the change is nice but 5 minutes and out the door may not be a future option ( cleaning the juicer ,cutting the veggies ..etc ) all adds up to a good 20-30 mins .
lunch was salad and a yummie tuna sandwich
dinner veggie sushi
i guess not quite raw .. but getting there ..
tomorrow is gym day ..cannot wait
working toward a better health feels great .

stayig true to my word ..Week goals
ok by trying to start a "diet" i gained a few pounds .. so forget diet .. small changes for health and life .
health first or work ( the latter has always been the priority )
Health Week Goals
1- walk ah hr a day
2-weight training twice a week ( if 3 is not possible )
3- Mostly raw 2-3 lit at least of water
Work Week Goals
1-Research protocol - to be completed by tues.
2- complete before fri 2 handouts
3-Finish Pending paper by the end of next weekend .
3 goals .. keeping it simple .I will do just great .
todays breakfast : cucumber , tomato and few cubes of haloumi cheese with fresh tomato juice ..delicious .(breaking the vegan rule ..but hey that is not bad for a start :)
lunch (planned ) avocado cucumber wrap
dinner TBA
gym - noon

Ph diet or just healthy ?
It has been a great stress to abandon all food together and go for a veggie juice fast and load myself with alkaline water .
i am not totally giving the idea up , will stick to mostly veggies (mostly alkaline ones 4 fun -however the body is always at 7.34-7.43 on it's own we have the best system ever),will eat mostly raw
and yes water is great with gradual increase to not less than 3 lit a day .
I must say I eat for comfort and I was super pissed today and in bad need of my own space which seems impossible to get without people close to you feeling offended . I am not sure why my weekend escape has to be filled with guilt !
I am in a better mood now thanks to this great song posted on another EP member page - thanks "livingRaw"

Day 21 ,Day 20
Day 21 ..ok I cheated a fair bit and it was not all veggies (95% veggies is not bad )and no dairy . but i managed a good 4 lit of greens
still determined t take to challenge
Day 20 started with yet another cheat :) breakfast . still determined to go for this even if the transformation is not yet as smooth as i hope .
so here is my rule a messed up day will not be repeated . vegan is how one reverse diabetes and maybe stop cancer .so why am i freaking out ?
fresh start again now . yes i can do it and i will .
